:hello1: Sue - weather girl on lunchtime Look North was explaining the atmospherics that caused it. They have been inundated with photos of the event, caused by unusually high pressure squeezing the low cloud into extraordinary shapes. Trust me to have been elsewhere and missed it :( In the Cheviots there was no suset at all - it just went dark!

Yes, Tabatha, unfortunately I'd missed the best of the light for the turbines. Going to have another go as soon as I get the chance. Its funny how the optimum conditions can fade so quickly with a sunset. Also just missed the chance of a big crowd of starlings wheeling above but the light wasn't too great either.
