Thank you all for your kind remarks about my sunset picture. 2009 both Spring and Autumn has given us some exceptional sunsets and sunrises. My camera is nothing special, so the results are most satisfying. I cannot be bothered to work out settings, so always use ‘automatic’. It appears to me that there is a specific moment during sunsets and sunrises when natural light is just right for the camera, so I take a whole lot of pictures over, say five minutes, then select the best of them.

May I also thank those of you who have posted similar pictures, they are quite stunning and give me encouragement to continue with photography.

You may have been a trifle late Sue, but still a lovely photo. They are the very devil to catch at the best moment.

Although it has been wet and gloomy all day, there was a lovely sunset this evening just after 5.30 pm

:wow: Superb pics everyone. Di I love the "sepia" effect of yours, did it just happen that way or did you use special settings?
