I took picture at 16.45 looking south. Jupiter was to the left of the moon. Through my birdwatching ‘scope, it appeared as a large bright object.

Thanks for the excellent link Mike and the horizon maps are very useful and i will be making a mental note of where things are when i go outside at night.
