Lovely photo Sue. For me the ash means all I'm getting, sunset-wise, is a yellow ball very low in an equally yellow sky. You have to know where the sun is to spot it at all :lol2:

I don't think there's any effect as yet ! I may try tomorrow, take a tripod and do it right!
This was taken on Cannock Chase at 7.45. I've never seen so many Deer - there were loads! I even had a Fox walk 30 feet in front of me. I think the animals feel more confident at dusk, so even if I get no volcanic sunsets, it'll be worth it !

I don't get a very good view of the sunset from here,it goes down behind the houses,i do get a good view of the sunrise though but so far it doesn't seem to look any different .
