Stinky Turkey.

https://wildlifeconservation101.wordpress.com/2013/04/23/hoatzin-bird/

Stinky Turkey is what the Hoatzin is called by the local people in the Amazon rain forest. I didn't get close enough to smell them...

This is a quick grab shot I took this morning, I took it through a sliding door and the conservatory (two sealed units four layers of glass) so not a wonderful shot. I just grabbed my little Panasonic TZ3 camera and fired, I had to crop heavily and work on the image to get any sort of result. I wanted a photo (even a bad one) as I have never seen a Great Spotted Woodpecker in my garden in the two and a half years I have lived here.

That's a pretty decent shot considering all that glass.

Well done John. We are lucky in that we do get woodpeckers. I got a shot of a GS Woodpecker yesterday on the nut feeder but I haven’t posted it yet.
