Calm day on Friday and some good light from the right angle so I tried for a few reflection photos. Some were a bit too distant and wouldn't stop running around to give me a chance with the focus and having sufficient shutter speed. A shutter of 1/800 isn't really fast enough for moving birds.

The light was a bit harsh for the Little Egrets so I struggled to retain feather detail, even with a bit of under exposure compensation.

Superb reflections, Geoff. I like the one with its head immersed.

Thanks. The Greenshank with its head under water was the only one which was still enough to give me time to get properly focused. I always find Redshank, with their jerky head movements and fast walk, to be particularly problematic.

I find that as well Geoff, constantly turning and moving position.
