I've often wondered why almost no games developed by Nintendo offer options for sound and music. I'm not greedy; having independent sliders or just simple switches would be nice. The Mario Kart series, for instance, would have increased replay value if I didn't have to suffer through its repetitive melody loops. Is it too much to ask that Nintendo joins the era of custom soundtracks, either in-game or manually? |

I've had that same issue with a lot of wii games, it was a deciding factor in getting a 360. I can only take game soundtracks for so long before the entire game ends up on mute and I pray the audio isn't important. inb4defensivefanboys |

Usually if a games music is annoying and I either have played through it or just don't care to hear it I mute my TV and listen to my laptop. Excite truck does let you but I'm not a fan of the game. I also think its fucked up to expect one video system to be like the other. Example trophies not necessary. Nice! Not necessary. In game custom soundtracks are nice but I honestly hate video companies trying to best the other. Nintendo's Wii is good the way it is to me and honestly is still beating the pants off the other two. Has this solution helped you? [] yes [] no |

Companies trying to best each other is good for customers. When Internet Explorer had thoroughly crushed all competitors in the late 90s, its development team grew complacent and stopped delivering updates. Once new browsers surpassed it in features and stability, IE started improving again, incorporating the features that users had come to expect from other browsers. Everyone is better off now that all desktop browsers have tabs and better standards support. Don't interpret this as a console fight. Each one can keep its pros, cons, and unique style. I just want basic feature parity. At the very least, a disable music option. |

I agree it would be nice and Companies need to think about the customers but I honestly think Nintendo is fine when you consider they are the leader of the group and most of the people they are trying to get to play video games are not as die hard as you and me. I still love my Wii and will always play it. Even without in game music. |
