What's Your Gaming Story?
When I was little, my brother was in to video games a little bit. We had an Intellivision and a NES. My first video games was Mario 2. My second was Double Dragon. I went on playing NES classics up until age nine. At age ten my mom bought me a used SNES from some of my cousins. I soon after got Mario All Stars, Super Mario World, Mario Paint, F Zero Double Dragon and some others. I used to rent tetris attack. royal rumble, and Mario Kart a lot. I kept plaing the SNES casually until age 13.

At age 13 I met a friend who introduced me to the N64. He brought his over just after it was released. I got to see Mario 64 and Pilot Wings. That Christmas I received an N64 and Mario 64. I became much more serious about gaming. Games like Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Ocarina of Time, Road Rash, Mario Kart, and others became obsessions of mine. My friends and I played multiplayer a lot. I seemed to always finish second place to the guy who introduced me to the 64.

I played heavily over the next few years. In 2003 I purchased a PS2. I played it heavily. My favorites on it were GTA games, Hitman games, Gun, and MG games.

After I acquired my PS3, I became even more infatuated with gaming. GTA IV, Hitman, Fallout games, Uncharted, Resident Evil 5, NCAA Football, Assassins Creed games, Saboteur (most under rated game ever). and Battlefield games ruled my time.

My greatest gaming accomplishment. On Battlefield Three I had become quite proficient. I tracked my stats religiously on stat websites. At one point I managed to climb in to second place globally across all systems in skill level. Skill level is the quality of player you kill versus the quality of player who kills you. I went 5 days without a death. 522 consecutive kills without a death. Most days netted me 80-100 kills with typically 2 or less deaths a day. I of course took the game very seriously, which kind of took some of the fun out of it for me at times.

Nowadays I mainly play phone games or on my DS. Pokemon has always been a classic go to game. My PS3 time is mainly confined to late night on the weekends. Those nights find me playing Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, NCAA Football, Or Battlefield Bad Company 2.

That's my gaming story I guess :yeah:

I'm in mourning...
Glad you were able to use it again. I felt your pain. My issue was the ylod on my fat. I had fixed it four times. It only gave me 4-6 weeks a time. On the fifth time, I used my tax return to get a 320 gig ps3 slim.

April Game of the Month Nomination Topic
Great nominations this month. The most we have had in a while! About to do the drawing :D

2nd Best PSone port on N64
I agree about Re 2 for sure. THPS and the Duke Nukem games come to mind for me as well.

April Game of the Month Nomination Topic
I enjoyed the cruisin games as well. I hadn't thought about them in ages!

April Game of the Month Nomination Topic
Hello everyone, Welcome to the Game of the Month nomination topic.

Here is how it works:
Each member gets to nominate 1 game that was not in the top 20 in sales. The topic will remain open for the first half of the month. At which point, I will write each of the nominations on a piece of paper, and draw 5 total out of a bowl.
Those 5 will then be put to a vote for the rest of the month to decide the official "Nintendo 64 Forever Game of the Month". You may nominate a game already chosen by another member if you wish too, but only one piece of paper per game nominated will be put in to the bowl. If someone has already nominated a game you wished to nominate, please consider going with your 2nd choice. Those nominated that are not drawn out as well as the 4 that lose the vote will be eligible for re-nomination next month if you so choose.

In case anybody is lost here, the idea is for you to play the winning game for a bit, and then
comment on your thoughts after playing. We used to discuss things like game play, graphics, sound, controls, replay value, as well as how the game has stood the test of time. This is a great chance to discover fun games you perhaps missed out on.

If you do not own the winning game; perhaps consider borrowing, buying, renting (anybody still rent n64 games?), or find another way of playing (emulation) or perhaps even check for it on the virtual console.
Any questions? Just ask away...

Command and Conquer
C & C narrowly won the vote off. Never tried it personally, but it always looked intriguing :)
