Play an N64 game...
Been playing through Duke Nukem: Zero Hour again.
Played through nearly all the N64 shooters I had roughly 5 years ago and this was one of the best.

Played the first level for Take The Stage and decided to keep going.
Only a few levels in but enjoying it heaps and try to be a bit more thorough and get more collectables this time around.
Love the humour, Duke talking to himself, Duke insulting you if you leave him stand still for too long and the posters!
Suprised they got away with some or the humour on some of them!
Gotta love the Goldeneye and Turok ones.

I want to unlock the Titanic level.
It would appear that there is a 2nd exit on the 3rd level- Nuclear Winter.
I had a pretty good look around, found the time machine part but couldn't find the alternative exit.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I like to avoid using guides where possible and as a massive N64 fan I love nothing more than putting information and knowledge from my N64 experience into your face ⚽ :yeah: :n64:

Top 3 Game Developers
Rare: by a fair way too.
Nintendo: Too many classics to deny.

Maybe Konami for 3rd?
Lots of good games, even o new that aren't International Superstar Soccer⚽

International superstars of soccer
Did a couple more hours worth of renames, still a lot to go.
Just going to rename teams as we verse them.and do a bit at a time now.

Started a new International Cup on Level 5 with a fully custom Australian.
Won the first 3 games pretty easily, but keeping in mind this was with a fully custom team against some of the lowest stat teams in the game and our years of ISS experience with a formation and teamwork that works a treat.
I'm sure it will get harder later.
And we won't use a fully custom team...we will probably have to verse them 😱

What are you doing RIGHT NOW?!?!

I'm off to a mates tonight for a Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 tournament. Man I wish it was Goldeneye or something. PES is a good laugh though. Should be about 6 of us there. 8)
Playing multiplayer N64 against actual people is the best.
So many people actually loved the console, its just a matter of getting them to play....

I won a Goldeneye tournament in 2008.
Was so pleased with myself.
I also have a half joking bet but could be real, so I need to keep my form up.
Can tell both of these stories if people are interested 😇

As a side comment based on both of those stories, I used to and still do hate people using the excuse/line of "oh I would have beat you back in the day"
If you love the game, don't stop playing it and don't make excuses.
Have to keep sharp.
On old football quote "you are only as good as your last game" applies here.

...man my posts must be annoying to read or quote because I change subject multiple times in posts!
What am I doing right now?
Just finished watching the Late Show...should be getting some sleep cause of work n stuff, but brain is going at F-Zero GX speeds with thoughts of N64 and ISS2000 and various other crap...

What are your top 5 games out right now?
-International Superstar Soccer 2000
-Perfect Dark
-Rare Replay
...as long as I have those 3 I'd be OK.

The Gamecube Topic
That's OK, modern TVs suck and CRTs are amazing.
Who even uses non CRTs? :P  ⚽😂

...(I only have one cause the Xbox needs it, and to watch movies from a Windows program made in 1995😆)

So much to say...
GameCube was amazing, pretty under appreciated.

Wind Waker and Metroid Prime tie for best game...or maybe Twilight Princess.

Loved the early days, the water effects of Wave Race, the general blown-away-ness of Rouge Squadron...the infinite replay and multiplayer of Melee.
F-Zero GX - what a masterpiece. The game is over 10 years old and the speed, graphics and intensity is still as amazing as ever.
Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door: improved on an already amazing first game.
I put the best part of 100 hours into this game.

Skies of Arcadia and Tales of Symphonia, 2 amazing RPGs.

International superstars of soccer
@Italia: I too love reading about these games and experiences. Keep em coming y'all!

One of my most memorable ones was in ISS64, me vs a mate.
I got off to a strong start, but after much scrapping and hard work he just managed to drag it back to a draw and make golden goal extra time.
So, I get the kick off, get it to J.Moore and take a wild shot from about 40 metres out...
And it goes in!
All of about 5 seconds to into extra time! 😂

EDIT: So, who is into renaming and making customer players?
I think it adds a lot more fun and personality to your teams.
Makes it all the more enjoyable playing through cups and getting attached to players.
Being able to choose their numbers in 98 and 2000 was a great edition too.
Part of the reason we have been hesitant to move on to 2000 was because we have done so many renames in 98.
Its gonna take quite some time to do ISS2000...there are 100 teams!!!
But we have started the process 👍⚽

@TofuJunky: Yeah I quite liked Duke Nukem Forever, just wish it was a bit longer.
I think I saw there was an add-on/ extra missions?
I'd like to give that a go..if it's real?

International superstars of soccer
Sorry to double post!

Played our first few games of ISS2000.

Really happy with the increase in difficulty.
Going to get a hell of a lot of hours of pleasure out of this game.
First game we played was Australia (with custom players I made in 2006) versus Germany.
Was 2-2 at full time and then 3-3 after extra time.
Got smashed in penalties though.

Best part was starting in cloudy conditions and then a storm hit during the matches and the lightning effects being a surprise unexpected shock!

Best N64 Level Remake?
It would help if I could be bothered finding someone screenshots 😜

I'm suprised I never tried to do Hyrule Field or something like that for Red Alert 2.
Would be good.

Haven't found the time to complete Body Harvest -_- . I have but one level to go! Please allow me one more month to complete.
You are that far already, fantastic job as is!

You going all the way son!
🎵Dont Stop me now!🎵

I wonder If there are any other games to beat?
Its nearly all just sports games that I don't have.
I actually enjoyed Carmegedon.

Internetz and gaming
Not a fan of online games.

Used to play a bit of Red Alert 2 and maybe Unreal Tournament.
Both are so much better in LAN anyway.
Just a time waster that gets in the way of real games.

Add Carmegedon 64.

Not as bad as reviews make it out to be.
Embrace the terrible physics and have a laugh and just try and destroy everything and you may be pleasantly suprised.

Kazooie vs. Tooie: Which is better?
Feb 23 2016, 07:22 AM
-Canary Mary .... just...no :nope: :P

Couldn't agree more
Canary Mary is easy.

...if you know how 😉

EDIT: Wait, what was wrong with the quiz???
The only thing I was slightly disappointed with was that it was a touch easy compared to Grunty's Furnace Fun.

If you only could keep 5 games, which ones?
Feb 22 2016, 07:16 PM
I'd go with Goldeneye and Starfox. Great singleplayer, great multiplayer, great music. Most of all, great memories.
OMG! How did I forget about Statfox64!!!

OK, in order, it I only had to pick 2 it a easy, cause it a in order.

-ISS 2000
-Perfect Dark
-Lylat Wars (Starfox 64)
-Diddy Kong Racing

If you only could keep 5 games, which ones?
Feb 22 2016, 08:26 AM
oh how interesting! I would deffinetly keep:

Banjo Kazooie
Banjo Tooie
Zelda OOT
Mario Kart 64
Main these 4 because I bought them in stores back in 90s
and finally my Everdrive
Conker BFD because of the rumor

What rumour is that???? :o

I still only have 3 so far....so many fighting for those last 2 spots.

Those being:
Mario Kart 64
Mario Tennis
Paper Mario
The Zeldas
Diddy Kong Racing
Donkey Kong 64
Bomberman 64
One of the Snowboard Kids games
Wave Race

Keep in mind I consider multiplayer goodness and exclusive-Ness and also how good any remakes are (only the Rare Replay games except Perfect Dark (even though that is a fine remake(who the he'll puts brackets in brackets....:pottymouth: are these even called "brackets"....I'm tired) cut it for quality for me)

EDIT: its not so much the quality but more the controls, feel and the fact I have over 15 DAYS of gameplay on my Perfect Dark cartridge.

ExciteBike 64
Wait, there's a tutorial???

I should check it out. Might learn a thing or 2 😱

Something I like about this, wave race and 1080 is the ability to move about in the air to control your landing and try and make your self line up with the water/snow/dirt.

Thoughts on Playing a game
HSV Adventure Racing! 8)

If you only could keep 5 games, which ones?
Great topic!

I would keep whichever of my 64s has an expansion pak in it for starters.

- International Superstar Soccer 2000: have only just started playing this and have played 64 and 98 to death so this one makes sense.
- Perfect Dark - no Brainer, even though I have Xbox version, this one is far superior and still so, so playable to this day.
- Goldeneye: Even though I have listed Perfect Dark already, no remake of this ever is as good as playing the original. And some people love this purely for its multiplayer, so would need to keep it for that.

I could be here for hours trying to justify the next 3...Will edit them in later if I ever work it out 😃

N64Forever Beats 'Em All!
Carmegeddon is done! Took a day or so of my housemate and I taking it in turns.
Phone is not being nice, so can't get link...
Think it's here somewhere: http://smg.photobucket.com/user/djcat64/media/Mobile%20Uploads/IMAG0627.jpg.html?sort=3&o=2
That and the pic is blurry as well. Anyway it's done 😊

I have to say I have changed my opinion on this game a fair bit.
It kind of benefits from being "so bad it's good".
it certainly isn't a well made game by any stretch BUT...it still manages to be quite fun if you don't take it seriously and enjoy how hilariously bad the physics are.

I enjoyed the story for the 90s cheese and the way the main character words himself in the mission r explanations 😂
Hot Tip: once you realize that is far easier to win races by retiring your opponents rather than actually racing, it gets a lot less challenging and FAR more fun. Rather than being frustrated by your car being flipped by hitting a tiny bump, you are laughing your arse off at 2 cars going flying and spinning halfway across the stage. 😄
