1080 Snowboarding
Double Post i know but, No one else has posted for a week. :o
And I wasnt going to play this game.

Umm, a tip for landing.
I read a playguide a bit back in 99 and it helped me a lot.
You have a fair amount of control when your in the air in this game.
Make sure your board is lined up with the terrain, and just before you land, lean back just a touch and press Z just before landing.
This should help to cusion the impact.
True Story! (unless I've explained it poorly)

August Game of the Month vote off!
Rouge Squadron was good.

Another game I've played before already.
Maybe, just maybe I can finish it this time? ;)

I found out about this site because someone over at Gamefaqs mentioned it.
I found out about it by Googling "Nintendo 64 forum." I was looking for a site for N64 fans and collectors to talk about a common interest freely. GameFaqs has those members who flag your posts as offensive every time you disagree with their opinion. Plus the mods there are all a bunch of bitter d**ks. I wanted a place where it was like our own community where everyone knows each other- rather than one of those places where you have so many members that you hardly ever see the same person twice. In my honest opinion, having 20 solid posters is the way to go. We all get to know each other better, and that causes less fights to break out on the boards. So if we could get about that many people to vote in the Game of the Month polls, then I'd say we are a successful little group ^_^
Well said. :)

Ahh, only 2 games that I havent played have been nominated this year.
Im hoping to get more games I havent played already.

August Game of the Month vote off!
I missed the nomination period again.

4 games starting with 'R'
Interesting.

Im a platformer fan.

1080 Snowboarding
First played the game in 99, loved it.

It took ages, but I can do a 1080, makes me feel like a rare breed seeing no one else has said they can do them.

I can still do it within a few goes now.
I find doing it one way is easier than the other.
i find count-clockwise easier.
Just feels more natural for some reason.
Same as in fighting games, i prefer to be on the right side.

I remember a british N64 Mag ahd a skill club challenge for certain games.
i tried for so long to get a time better than 1''20 on Golden Forest.
Came SOOOOO close but never got it.
Probably different time in NTSC though. :o

EDIT:

No one else has posted for a week. :o

EDIT: Yeah, i still got it.
Was able to do all the tricks in training, can still do a 1080.
It seems like one of those things that are so hard to do, but once you do it once, its not so bad.
Maybe.
Best time I managed on Golden Forest was 1'23 something.

I wasnt planning on getting into this months game, but there ya go.
