The Cult of Mario Kart
The Forgotten Mario Kart games
Sadly I've never gotten a chance to play Mario Kart Arcade GP 1 or 2. :( I was kinda hoping that one of our more rabid Mario Kart fans here at N64 Forever had and would share his impressions in this thread. For a while I even thought that Nintendo might release the arcade exclusives on the Wii but I guess there's no chance of that happening now.

Mario Kart Arcade GP

Hey, any one interested in an on-line Mario Kart Wii tournament? I'm sure I could scrounge together some sort of prize for the winner. :gift:

Ok I'm in now that there are more games to choose from. X_D

My humble Introduction
Greetings AENIC. Are you a Killer Instinct Gold fan?

What cartoons did you grow up on?
The cartoon I grew up on was Speed Racer.

The lack of interest for others to compete was when you two started to lay down some stupidly good times. Of course, this isn't a bad thing. You two are just too good for everyone
This is exactly why Nintendo includes the rubber band mechanic in Mario Kart 64, to keep people of lesser skill engaged and in contention. The only way YogurtStorm can lose now is if he gets hit with a blue shell. :D

Hi EveryBody
Quid Pro Quo

You tell us about Chile and we'll tell you everything you want to know about the N64. Do you live near Santiago?

Hi EveryBody
Welcome Gaudy. Ironically, my wife and I have been considering running away moving to Chile.

Mine is... Well, STILL in the mail right now, so it's not yet technically in my posession. I will update when it gets here! (PLEASE tomorrow!!) XD
The suspense is killing me. :)

What do you do with old sports games?
I usually only buy over-the-top sports games that never get old.

Wayne Gretzky's 3D Hockey is still mad fun to play with friends. It's so intense that it's almost like a fighting game. BTW, have you guys ever seen pictures of "the great one" Wayne Gretzky's daughter? OMG, she's smokin' hot!

She's the blonde on the right.

Hi
Howdy Justin.

Don't we have a few new German members?

Game OverThinker
I used to watch the Game OverThinker all the time back when he posted his videos on YouTube. I believe somebody offered him a paying gig on some video game related website and I never heard about him again. It's a shame too because he's a pretty serious Nintendo fan and extremely intelligent so his videos were always informative as well as entertaining.

Hello to my favorite system ever!
Welcome to the family. :capice:

Old Video Game Commercials
You stole my thunder with that Super Smash Bros. commercial so instead I'm posting my favorite game intro movie from the same era. :P

I also love old cars, and i have almost finished restoring my baby, a 1961 Austin Mini Deluxe, if hoping it will be on the road in a couple of months.
Please post a picture up when you get a chance, I'd love to see it.

Is it really so normal to collect Guns in the US ?
Very normal as some guns are extremely valuable and have historic significance. I've seen collections of old dueling pistols that are worth a small fortune and are considered works of art for both their aesthetics and craftsmanship.

Millions of people own guns here in the US and most are extremely responsible with them.

No, the differences between the NTSC-J and NTSC-U versions of Mario Kart 64.
The differences are really rather minor; little things like Toad being called Kinopio and Bowser named Koopa in the Japanese version. A few of the characters have different voice sample too with Wario sounding truly sinister in the Japanese version. >_<

N64 games you would love to exist?
Mobile Suit Mario. :o

The Japanese Mecha series Armored Core was huge on the original Playstation and it would have been nice if the geniuses at EAD had developed their own take on this genre.
