Dragon Ball FighterZ
Dragon Ball FighterZ seems like a competent and enjoyable fighting game and I'm sure it'll introduce lots of new players to the genre, but I'm actually a little more hyped for SoulCaliber VI since I have so much nostalgia for the franchise. The original SoulBlade was my most played PSX game up until I became hopelessly addicted to the first generation Armored Core titles.

Dragon Ball FighterZ
I've actually talked myself out of buying Dragon Ball FighterZ right now for several reason. First, there's the fact that I know absolutely nothing about the characters having never seen even a single episode of the anime. Second, my video game collection is starting to move too heavily towards the fighting game genre. Lastly, Street Fighter V is much improved since the recent update so I want to master my combos in it before I learn new systems in an other fighting game.

Dragon Ball FighterZ does look fantastic, though, so I'm sure I'll pick it up eventually. Maybe when it goes on sale as I've gotten to the point that I hate to spend more than $40 on a game.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is getting pretty good reviews.

DRAGON BALL FIGHTERZ REVIEW - Happy Console Gamer

Post When You Buy Any Movies, Music, Etc.
The Bad Moms DVD I ordered arrived today so we'll probably be watching it this evening since we're both in the mood for a good laugh.

For the life of me I can't figure out why this movie was so hard to find at my local brick & mortar stores like Walmart and Target.

Curious about your thoughts on Wonder Woman.
I'll tell you what I think after I've had a chance to watch the film. Be warned that I usually loathe super hero movies, though.

By the way, when I opened the case I discovered that both the Blu-ray and DVD versions are included. Bonus! :w00t:

Picked up the Wonder Woman Blu-ray today since Target had it on sale for just 10 bucks. Now my wife and I can finally see what all the fuss is about.

Surprisingly, the DVD and Blu-ray both cost the same amount so I opted for the superior format.

I've got a DVD copy of Bad Moms on the way because I couldn't get the Blu-ray at a decent price. Guess there are a lot of Mila Kunis fans out there. Generally speaking I don't collect movies so I just go for whatever I can get cheap. It's gotta be something really special for me to spend more than $10 on it.

February Game of the Month Vote Off
Since I nominated it, of course I voted for Sin & Punishment. It's just sitting there on my Wii's main page beckoning me to finally play it.

@The Red Shadow - Let me know what you think of Blade Runner 2049 after you've had a chance to watch it. By the way, did you get the Walmart exclusive version?

Also, if you haven't done so already, you may want to get Morgan which was directed by Ridley Scott's son.

We watched it the other night and my wife Cathie actually preferred it to BR2049.

Street Fighter V awards in-game currency called - fight money - when you meet certain challenges. That fight money can then be used to buy new characters, stages and costumes which is pretty cool. Gives you a huge incentive to keep playing the game.

Iím not sure I want to upscale anti-aliased 240p to 8k but the brightness is nice. 😁
Samsung's Q9S 8k TV may not be as bright as Sony's new model but it features artificial intelligence that actually learns how to handle low-res video.

We don't have details like a price or release date for the Q9S, but the 85-inch monster features a "proprietary algorithm" to upscale lower-res video for its Super Hi-Vision screen. The artificial intelligence comes in with its ability to "learn from itself" to improve over time

Wow! :o

So I've come to really enjoy the way modern video games provide incentives to keep playing them online. For example, I still play Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare quite often on my PS4 because new challenges are released for it every Tuesday. Usually it's stuff like kill 125 opponents with a shotgun or get 15 Double Kills while using a certain character set. Nothing extravagant but the game gives rewards if the challenges are met which helps keep things fresh and interesting. You wouldn't think this gimmick would have much appeal but I actually find it hard to play games now that aren't constantly giving me something when I play. :-8

Even though I'm not in to the 420 experience myself, I still find this song entertaining. :)

If marijuana became legal in my State I still wouldn't use it because they drug test in my industry. Also, my extensive research in to the world neurology has confirmed that the psychotropic constituent in pot Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) can have long term detrimental effects on the brain. Besides, I don't need to get high on weed because video gaming is all the stimulant my body can take.

And said prized WiiWare games would be...?
Contra ReBirth, Excitebike: World Rally, Fast Racing League, Mega Man 10, Rage of the Gladiator and World of Goo to name just a few. :D

my god, those ping rates are very bad.
Spectrum inherited a network with a lot of latency from Time Warner Cable. It should be job #1 to improve that if they want to be taken seriously by online gamers.

there's some gems yes, but we have to be honest, less than 5% of the librairy is considered good.
Maybe by people who collect but not so much by people who actually play video games.

BTW, since I'm not much of a Zelda person, I didn't include the two Wii iterations in my picture. Also, for obvious reasons I wasn't able to include my prized WiiWare games either.

I find it amusing when uninformed people claim that the Wii library is little more than shovelware.

There are plenty of gems for the console and arguably even some of best games ever from a diverse smattering of genres.

Originally from Maine but recently moved to South Carolina for work in the last year.
What kind of work are you doing in SC?

Spectrum offers pretty good capacity via their "fiber rich" network. However, in the present world of digital distribution - communications companies really should be upgrading to all fiber networks. I say this because the recent Street Fighter V Arcade Edition upgrade to my base game weighed in at a hefty 14 Gigabytes.

Does the Shindou version still have the Fanta advertisements?

I just ran through it and didn't notice them.

I feel the same way about Smash Bros. but surprisingly I can do without the JP version of Mario Kart 64.

Those are my favorite N64 games so of course I wanted the Japanese versions. :-8

Wave Race - January Game of the Month
Wave Race 64's Expert mode isn't too hard to beat if you use D. Mariner. You just gotta do a little custom tuning of your settings. I suggest setting Handling three or four bars from the far right (Heavy). Then set Engine all the way to the right to Top End and Grip all the way to the right to Tight.

Since you're using Dave Mariner you eliminate him as an opponent which makes the game much easier.

The Street Fighter Thread of AWESOMENESS
Street Fighter V on my PS4 automatically updated to Arcade Edition yesterday. It's cool cuz now there's an legitimate Arcade mode to mess around with. :yeah:
