Happy new year 2015
Anybody got exciting plans to ring in the New Year? A party or something?

Ooh! Now that would be a fun car to drive.
Yes indeed, luxury and performance. :yeah:

Maybe I'll buy one when I sell the rights to my book.

Did somebody say The B52's?! :w00t:

PS4
It's really weird but there's not a single game currently available on the PS4 that I really want to play. I'll probably just use it as a glorified blu-ray player until Mortal Kombat X ships in April.

If I were to come in to some money, the car I'd probably buy and use as my daily driver would be the Lexus RC.

Just asked myself. ... its there a way to connect all 8 gamecube controllers on 1 WiiU device?
(Like for example for a offline tournament and all 8 players wamt to play with a gamecube controller
You can do this but you need two GC Controller Adapters.

To say that I'm addicted to Super Smash Bros. is a minor understatement. In my Wii U I have Sm4sh of course but I've also got Brawl in my original Wii, Melee in my GameCube and Super Smash Bros. in my N64. :-8

As you all know, I main Wario and while I really enjoy him in SSBWiiU, I'd have to say that I like his moveset in Project M the best.

Me and my Donkey Kong Amiibo have been fighting out some vicious battles. I feel certain that going up against him has made me a better player when I go on-line against other real live humans.

Maybe I'll train my Mario Amiibo and see how he does against DK. That ought to be pretty neat.

As far as a career goal, I want to sell over 150 cars next year.
If you believe you can do it then you're starting the New Year off on the right foot. Professional body builders have a fantastic saying which I've found to be true more often than not; "Where the mind goes, the body will follow".

Those are sweet controllers. I still can't believe you can walk in and buy brand new ones in 2014/2015. It's like some sort of time warp paradox!
I've been using the GameCube controller extensively since 2008 to play Mario Kart Wii and Super Smash Bros. Brawl so to me it seems completely natural for Nintendo to start selling them again.

GameStop online has a Smash bros "bundle" in stock
It'd be nice if Nintendo just started selling the GC Controller Adapters directly from their on-line store.

Super Smash Bros for 3DS/Wii U
I've only got my Donkey Kong Amiibo up around level 35 and already many of our matches are ending in Sudden Death. I shudder to think what DK is going to be like at level 50.

So Gamestop is basically just gauging people who want a GameCube Adapter. No wonder people hate doing business with them. Nintendo needs to start working overtime on GC Adapter production to teach those idiots a lesson.

I really like this overview of the new Super Smash Bros. Edition GameCube Controllers. :yeah:

PSN down for PS4, PS3: Sony is still 'investigating the cause'

Quote:

Many gamers have found it difficult to get online on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 since Christmas, and Sony still doesn’t know why.

PlayStation Network went down around two days ago, and it is still mostly offline. Sony has provided sporadic updates, and that includes telling fans again today that it is aware of the problem. The company went on to say that its engineers are still looking into the cause of the problem, which likely means we’ll still have quite a wait before the system is back up and running again.

This outage is not just keeping people from playing online games. Many people cannot even sign into their PlayStation profiles, which can keep you accessing the online aspects of popular single-player games like Dragon Age: Inquisition and Far Cry 4.

Thank goodness I can still depend on the reliability of the Nintendo Network for my on-line gaming fix. ;)

Mrs. Kart apparently leveled up our Link Amiibo to level 50 in one night.
:o

I didn't even know that was possible.

I suppose anything is possible but that certainly took some dedication.

I haven't had a chance to mess with them yet in SSB:WiiU but it sounds like a cool concept!

Yes it is indeed a very cool concept as it gives the Amiibo a purpose beyond just being a whimsical collectable. For example, I've now got a reason to carry my Donkey Kong Amiibo with me when I visit friends who play Sm4sh.

Just took a quick peek inside the box and confirmed that I do indeed have a real Playstation 4. Took a moment to fondle the lovely DS4 controller but still didn't feel compelled to hook the console up to my TV set just yet. I'm real patient that way.

Super Smash Bros for 3DS/Wii U
Leveled up my Donkey Kong Amiibo to 26 last night. He's turning out to be a very good sparring partner for honing my skills with Wario.

It's amazing how the Amiibo open up yet another avenue for having fun with the brilliant piece of software that is Super Smash Bros. Wii U. I can't wait to let my Amiibo battle my friend Steven's next time he comes over to play. :)

The Wii U Topic
It's a testament to how strong the Wii U library is that I haven't even given serious thought to opening the PS4 I got for Christmas. Besides, Sony's on-line network got hacked so PSN has been spotty which really isn't very enticing with respect to setting up my new console. :-/
