The Wii U Topic
do they even make WiiU console ? I have not seem one in store in over a year. I thought I could pick one on the very cheap side whent eh switch was out but it seems, even in the used market, they keep their value on the high side.

N64 collection discussion
well, there's 2 version of Transformer Beast War, the retail and the blockbuster version. both were in very limited quantity and are kinda rare to get now. you'd expect to shell out at least 250$ for a nice condition CIB.

or if you want, get the Japanese version. it's less than 50$.

Also, I remember that the game was hugely based on Turok's engine (even though that isn't mentioned anywhere apparently), which of course came with it's strange control scheme as well. Kind of feels like a reversed version of nowadays shooter controls (C-buttons for forward/straving, analog for turning/looking around). I'm glad that it's possible to change to a more Goldeneye-esque control scheme.
wait, what ? that's the best control scheme ever.

nice score on the z64 !

Wii discussion
VC is accessible with a hacked wii. unless i'm wrong. but hey, I get your point and i think it's a faire one, im just not convince right now, might be in 10 years hehe.

Wii discussion
honestly, I dont see how B/C Wii will be collectible. I mean, it's so easy to jailbreak that the need for a disc drive is absolutely 0%. Any wii, except the Mini, could do just fine.

September Game of the Month Vote Off
gotta confess hitting the chicken endlessly to end with a massive chicken invasion is freaking golden lololol

still, had to vote for Extreme-G

SNES Mini
yeah every gamestop could only take pre-order between 10 and 16. the word spread quickly.

SNES Mini
got the news that it wont be available in Quebec due to stupid !&%?!&*%!?%!?&*%! laws requiring the box to have French language, which who the hell care about that.

So, if anyone has a good heart and is willing to help, please PM me ! i'm desperate.

Watcha Listenin' To?

Swap game cart bay on N64 question
yes you can. just order these 2 http://stores.ebay.com/Lukie-Games?_dmd=2&_nkw=Security+Bit+ and you should be good to go. its rerally easy on top of that.

You can also dremel the 2 security tab, this way you will also be able to play american and japanese games.
or you could simply remove the tray.

of course we're talking about console here since on PC it's another ball game as there are flash sales on Steam like crazy.
Sony and Microsoft also have sales on digital games for their consoles. For example, on my Xbox 360 I got the Perfect Dark remaster for $1.99, SoulCalibur V for $3.74 and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition for free. That's an average of just $1.91 per game which is less than what you usually pay just in shipping for physical games bought on Amazon or eBay.

Physical collecting made a lot more sense when you could find classic games locally but since that's drying up it's hard to imagine that the hobby can sustain itself much longer.

On the positive side, it appears that the exponential proliferation of emulation devices like the Raspberry Pi are actually driving down the asking price on some physical games. I guess the old saying is true; "for every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction". :)
yes you're right, but these sales are years after their initial release while PC have them just months after.

Got it MADE?
hey dan, can you updates those pictures ? I can also confirm that my MK64 Nintendo power Gold controller is also Made In Japan.

The Future of collecting
as long as digital & physical release will be the same price, i dont see how physical media will die. if they really want to push digital sales then they need to lower the price on digital by a good margin, like physical 69$ and digital 49$. otherwise it'll stay like this forever. of course we're talking about console here since on PC it's another ball game as there are flash sales on Steam like crazy.

I'll never stop buying physical unless they stop making it. I dont buy many games a year to justify the saving on digital.

EDIT: I sound like an old fart saying the same thing in 3 posts within the same page, over the course of 5 years, lol

thanks all. I'd trust the Lukie one more than the rest as they deal with tons of video games cart/console. I bet they use them alot.
