NO64DD: Gaming Achievements
Wow! Thanks Karsty. Bumping this was a nice lil trip down memory lane.
I also got 100% on Super Mario World 2, but i had to use a guide. Pretty tough to do.
It looks like I'm still the only one here who has beat some of BDR's SWE1R times.
Can't complain. 😌

I got a beautiful MK64 JPN controller but I refuse to play MK64 with it because I know I will kill in in a month.
On top of that, it turns out that the thumbstick housing for all Made in Japan controllers made by Nintendo are a lighter shade of grey than the other Nintendo made N64 controllers. It's something to think about if keeping things as they are. So to speak.

With that said, these blazing times... Wow!
What's a princess to do?? :eh:

Miitomo
Thanks Bam. Good to see ya.
I love how Miitomo says my name. It was well worth getting!
Thanks Japan! :yeah:

Nice work Linus!

The race is on.

New emoticons?
You can't go wrong with more 16 -bit characters. I know that for games like Hurt&Heal, there were times that i could have found uses for more Mario, Pokémon, and really any Nintendo character of that nature!

It's 2016, anything goes.

WINNERS--10th Anniversary Celebration

Well, i took off the blindfold and found this.

ebay

So this would be the standard box that came in the Expansion Pak edition?
I didn't know this even existed!

I hope i can weather the storm! :kirby:

Is Nintendo losing it?
Just seen the commercial for StarFox ZERO. The gameplay took me back to 1997!
Nintendo certainly hasn't hit my nostalgia like that in decades.

good topic Bam.

Whew!

This poll was quite a head scratcher, but I'm happy to say I didn't "cheat".

I am also happy to have CIB copies of both Nushi Tsuri games and Last Legion UX.

I will say that Perfect Dark has the most drastic change between standard/big box out of all of them, which is why I'm still not entirely sold on it being 'sold' by itself knowing that the red band was on the big box.

Although it only partially required Expansion Pak use, games like DK64 and Majora's Mask required it %100.

DDR proved my theory wrong about MM, but it makes me wonder about the lack of a red band on DK64?
And why would they sell an SD/Smart Media card enhanced game like Mario No Photopi without the SD/Smart Media card?
One would still need the blank card even after buying the specially themed expansions- (Bomberman, Hello Kitty, etc.) that were sold separately.

Anyway, in keeping with the theme of this thread, here is a fun fact that i recently discovered. SD Hiryu no Ken Densetsu worked in conjunction with SD Hiryu no Ken Densetsu EX for Game Boy Color via 64GB pak (Transfer Pak), similar to Pokémon Stadium! :pika:

Chou Kuukon night pro yakyuu king 2

That's the one! :yeah:

As for the reason behind my pick:

The JPN version of Perfect Dark was the final version of the game that came out in Oct. 2000. It is different than every other region, they even changed Joanna's face!

Being so late in the cycle, i doubt it was even sold without the Expansion Pak. So the versions found without the bigger box are just the standard game box that was inside. I believe the same story goes for games like Mario no Photopi and Majora's Mask in Japan as well.
