Nice Tofu! I love how the funtastics look together. A sight I get to see quite often fortunately! Keep it up! :yeah:

This or That
Goldeneye for sure. Just because I think for me, the story mode was better, and I'm a massive James Bond junkie. But we all know the merits of PD and in many ways it improved on 007 so tough call.

Golden Gun or Laptop Gun?

I'm jealous guys. We have had a couple of weeks of nice weather here in the UK but it never lasts. I loved the weather when I was over the west side of the US and that was in September! You guys have it good, enjoy it!

Hello, All!
Welcome to the forum RotoMan. Nice that you had a lot of your old games still. Same with me I never felt inclined to let go of the ones that I loved as many others did.

Enjoy the site!

Great article! Mario Kart 64 in particular annoyed me. In a lot of games the speed difference isn't noticeable unless you played the NTSC version but MK64 is so :cussfit: sluggish even with the comparison.

Nintendo really didn't have much care for PAL gamers at the time. Add to this getting the latest big games 6 months+ after the US and Japan to the crap conversions and life was very frustrating for PAL gamers.
Yeah plus all the exclusive titles we never saw: Spider-Man, Indiana Jones, Army Men 2 & Air Combat etc to name but a few. Nevertheless I have some of the good exclusives now!

The speed differential really annoys me too because it kind of put me off competing in our Mario Kart hotlap thread because I can't simply beat people's times I would need to calculate it into NTSC time and I know a formula has been provided but it just isn't the same. I do try pick up NTSC copies of games where I can now because they are usually cheaper and actually more likely to be better quality..

Bello folks!
Welcome to the forum Chad nice to have another Englander on here. I'm from the Birmingham area myself. Show us some of your collection when you get time it's always nice to see other collections.

:yeah:

Games You've Finished in 2016
I've made a start on San Andreas. As this one is quite lengthy (as I remember it), I'll probably knock a few shorter games out in between to vary it up a bit. At the end of my evening I knocked out the World Cup on 2002 FIFA World Cup on the GameCube. After playing World Cup 98 and finishing what could have been for England, it sparked memories of what potentially should have been for England in 2002, but for some terrible goal keeping against Brazil, a tournement I remember very well, at just 13 years of age at the time.

Nintendo 64 Forever: Happy Birthday thread
Kartmaster happy birthday for yesterday sorry I missed that pal. Hope you had a good day.

KnightlyGaming (KG) happy birthday buddy. Don't stay away too long! Enjoy your day.

PlayStation 2 discussion
PS2 was a great system. Many fond memories of that. Mine eventually died and I sold everything I had. Died from excessive playing but at the end of the PS2 life pretty much and we had a GC and Xbox to soften the blow.

I have picked up some of the games for either Xbox or GameCube which are not exclusives like GTAs, Rocky, the 007 games and the like. I used to play all the Pro Evo and FIFA football games each year with my brother and friends. So much fun. Now they wouldn't be as much though so not picked those up just good memories on those. I think I have FIFA 2003 and FIFA 2002 World Cup on the GameCube which came in a bundle though.

As said by Stinger, it was our DVD player as well because we didn't have one for ages and this was awesome.

It has an insanely huge library which makes it a tricky but also interesting one to collect for. Games are still dirty cheap in many cases though so not a bad time to collect.

Got an Idea?

We did hurt/heals with Nintendo baddies and another with retro versus modern heroes--all featured a lot of Nintendo/Rare characters. Take a look at those and see if you can come up with a list that is somewhat limited and unique. I do not think we need a Mario versus Link versus Banjo showdown . . .
OK I'll have a little mooch and a think then. If anybody else has any ideas in the interim get your thoughts down here!

:yeah:

About to get my console out of storage.
Welcome to the forum TWF. The N64 just has us all coming back in one way or another that's what brings us all here.

You sound like you'll get along fine here. Goldeneye 007 is a must have if FPS is your kind of thing. I take it you are interested in some of those having picked up Quake II and Perfect Dark recently to try out...?

:n64:

Got an Idea?
How about a hurt and heal on N64 game characters e.g:

-Bond
-Joanna Dark
-Donkey Kong
-Kirby
-Link
-Glover
-Banjo
-Kazooie
-Mario
-Paper Mario
-Fox
-Indy
-Tigger
-Buzz Lightyear

Etc you get the idea... I'm sure the list is endless but can be capped at say 25?

What are you doing RIGHT NOW?!?!
Just about to go and play football. I've been getting lots of exercise in of late.
Started cycling to work. Playing football. Waking my dog. Many calories being burned.

A Hat In Time
Very smart Bam I have to agree with you, which is a rare occasion given our hurt and heal conflicts. Lol.

Star Wars Episode 1 Racer Compeition
...Ready to get whipped hey No64DD.

Nintendo 64 Forever: Happy Birthday thread
Happy Birthday Vinyl & NUS Man. Have a great day both.

The Mini-NES
I'll get one since I don't own a NES anymore. Think the idea is great. Shame they haven't got Turtles and Paperboy on there - two of my favourite NES games. But it will still be an interesting piece all the same.

@Kamikaze, nice lot that. Some real great titles in there.

@Tofu, yeah sealed Pikachu is. Just the two circular bits of tape at each end rather than like a film seal but this is how they were released (similar to Pokemon Stadium seal). So yeah it has all the inners but I won't be opening it. I got those two for collectability really they were going at a decent price. NTSC stuff goes real cheap over here in PAL land for some reason.
