Nintendo 64 Forever: Happy Birthday thread
Happy Birthday Bamboozled! Hope it's a good one. :dk:

Where can I find N64 Console Box Protectors?
I found what I was looking for here but the shipping is going to kill me cause it's from Australia. Anyone know of any alternatives out there?

Hey there all!
Welcome to the forums Sizz. :mario:

Milage007's Collection
It's a nice change of pace seeing a PAL set! I think the Dreamcast in blue looks much better than the orange here. I see you're a Shenmue fan. :yeah:

Hey everyone!
Welcome! :n64:

N64 stuff you've just discovered/realized
This is quite interesting....apparently there are two variants of Resident Evil 2 NTSC? 1.0 and 1.1? Saw this on /r/N64.

Anyone got any info on this?

Edit: If you need help spotting the difference: 1.0 has background art while 1.1 has a plain black background instead.

N64 Forever YouTube Channel & Podcast
I have steadily moved away from pranks over the years and have been focusing on game videos but I can definitely see where you're coming from Matt. I think it would be optimal just starting fresh, and it would also be more rewarding in the long run too seeing how much growth we can get. I can get on working on the pilot video very soon.

N64 Forever YouTube Channel & Podcast
I understand your concerns Bluedog and I would love for the staff's involvement in the YouTube channel and Podcast so everyone's happy. :yeah:

I have a YouTube channel currently with 13,000 subscribers (got all the subs from a prank I did in 2012, got 7 million views). I could theoretically re-brand it as a N64 Forever channel so we're off to a booming start. Before I do that I want to consult with you guys and send you a "pilot" per se and see what you think. And we can move from there with your feedback. :n64:

Important Staff Update!
Congrats bud. :yeah:

N64 Forever YouTube Channel & Podcast
Myself and my fellow N64 Forever associates been discussing ways we can make the best N64 website on the internet even better through our Skype chat (seriously, why you haven't you joined yet? ;] ) A topic that came up was having our own podcast! Think about it. N64 enthusiasts from different backgrounds, continents, and cultures discussing what we all love in common. As far as the technicalities like how it will be run and set-up, I have a few ideas.

First of all I think everything as far as the planning, speaking, and recording should be done through Skype. It's intuitive and easy to set-up and most importantly: free. For the planning stage I'm thinking we should set up a Skype chat group separate from our already existing one, just for talking about the Podcast. In the 'planning chat' we can think about what interesting topics we can discuss, figure out guests, and finish other logistical things likes times and dates.

As far as where the recordings will go...I think we should start our own official YouTube channel and put our recordings there. Our own YouTube channel with unique N64 Forever content is a thread topic for another day. But you see where I'm getting at right? We need to start building our brand per se because not only is it fun to do but it also makes our community and public image even stronger! Facebook, YouTube, Podcasts...they will interweave and help each other out.

I'm curious to see what my fellow members think and more importantly, our staff, and go from there without going into further detail. :yeah:

Rocky's N64 Collection
Can a mod or admin move this thread to the Gallery sub-forum? Just realized this was in the wrong spot.

Also, got a giant update in the works to my collection. Will post Rocky's 2.0 Gallery very soon. :n64:

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Aug 25 2015, 11:07 AM

Holy crap that's hilarious!

....on a serious and definitely more emotional note. The final trailer for MGSV directed by Hideo Kojima.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
I guess I was the minority who loved the cut-scenes from Metal Gear Solid 4. The story was so engrossing and the action segments were so well choreographed (Raiden vs. Vamp) that the cut-scenes were a great reward in my mind once I finished the gameplay segments. I'll admit that I'll miss the cut-scenes in MSGV because I feel like that's it's part of the DNA of Metal Gear Solid. Listening to those cassettes tapes for the extra story feels like a unimmersive cop out to me, but I can see why they did it after the overwhelming backlash after MGS4.

Rare titles vs. quality cheaper titles
Aug 25 2015, 08:00 AM
And we did see a massive bubble burst with respect to "ultra rare" controllers. So it is not inconceivable that prices on games like Conkers will someday fall, particularly if the US, European and/or World economy really (continue to?) dive. When I started collecting in 2007, at the height of the US mortgage crisis, man was that a good time to buy.
I was wondering why Hello Mac controllers were getting so cheap....what happened?

This or That
Greninja cause he's a boss!

That username is amazing haha! You've come to the right place for your N64 pursuits and I wish you good luck with your controller sets! :yeah:
