Endure and survive...
I became less and less into fighting games the older I got. I also had a lengthy MMA background that fueled my interest early on. Mortal Kombat Trilogy was my first N64 fighting game (2nd game overall). I had spent a lot of time playing the previous MK releases. By the time I finally owned one, I had grown bored of it a little bit. I did get Fighter's Destiny as I felt it was as closed to Tekken as I could get on the N64. It was a quality title. It wasn't until 2001 that I grew to love Smash Bros. Far from a traditional fighting game, but probably the most fun to me.

I did have a lot of fun on the thq/aki and acclaim wrestling games. I know they aren't traditional fighters by any stretch of the imagination either, but I had a lot of fun with them.

In the years since the N64, I bought and moderately enjoyed Tekken 4.
i have borrowed and played some more MK and Street Fighter since then. I never really stuck with them for a very long time. The same could be said for the UFC fighting games.

Traditional fighting games have just become less appealing to me as the years went by.
