Yeah, I unlocked that shortly after finishing the game. It is my most prized (and probably most used) RE5 weapon! Just now I'm playing: RE5 (Professional level) InFamous Left 4 Dead Electroplankton |

Mine has definitely got to be the S&W M29... got me through Pro difficulty... though I wish I woulda held out a little longer after my first play-through to get enough exchage points to get inf. ammo on the S&W M500. The M29 was plenty powerful enough, of course... but just knowing two M500 bullets = 1 rocket launcher in terms of damage... mmmmmm...

I done the same thing but I've unlcoked the S&W M500 as well now. Being honest, it doesn't make much difference, most shots are a one hit kill anyway. The magnum which is meant to be the best is actually the L-Hawk as it has the fastest fire rate, enabling you to deliver more damage over a short period of time to anything that isn't a one hit kill. The M500 looks the part though.

Indeed. Good luck with Ndesu. I hated that part/thing on Professional difficulty. Jill was a bitch, but I think my strategy got pretty wired after a few (million) deaths. |

What boss is that again? Sh*t, is that the jeep level? I just got to that part and it was a pain on veteran. Still, I fear Jill the most, most of the rest can be downed with a few well placed rockets. Except when you're stuck in jeep.

Yup. The jeep level. Worst part of the game. Period. Jill isn't so bad, especially if you have a competent co-op partner with a magnum (doesn't even have to be upgraded/inf. ammo... my co-op buddy only had the base L. Hawk acquired a few moments earlier). It's too bad we're on opposite consoles... I'd definitely be able to help on that fight. (Come to think of it, I've already beaten both Ndesu & Jill on Pro twice now.)

"Now playing: InFamous (PS3), Batman Arkham Asylum (PS3), Electroplankton (DS), Mario Kart 64 (N64), River Raid (2600)" I thought I'd never see the day when a certain Edinburgh-based PS3 gets more attention than its fellow 360!! ![]() I'm trying to finish off RE5 for the 100%. Versus is kind of annoying. Layton 2 & Picross DS sprinkled throughout. Recommence progress on Rock Band 2 within a week.

Recently I've been playing: Mirror's Edge (PS3) - This is a really gorgeous game and is a real treat for anyone who fancies something a bit different on the PS3/360. A lot of the Mirrors Edge does boil down to trial and error but the feeling of getting a perfect run is really quite satisfying. Once you know the levels it's fun to replay them to see how much time you can shave off. Infamous (PS3) - Just finished my first playthrough and will probably go back for a second playthrough eventually, but next time as an evil character. The majority of the game is good fun but there are moments when your character controls (and the game camera) seem intent on doing the opposite of what you want. Still a nice game though, especially when you get your character fully powered up. Nintendogs (DS) - Mrs Alxbly had been playing this and I was helping her train her dog. Of course, that got me back into playing it... voice commands are still hit and miss sometimes, and I never get past the first round round of competitions but Nintendogs is still good in short blasts. Dead Space (PS3) - Going back for some trophies that I'd missed and I've got the majority of the ones that are easy to get now. Using the different weapons on my second playthrough has made it a lot more fun than the first time (when I was only using plasma cutter) and of course, it gets me in the mood for the prequel on Wii. Resident Evil 5 (360) - Been racing through professional difficulty with a friend. There's nothing too difficult since I've upgraded the best weapons and have infinite ammo. About half way through now. |

Probably gonna start up a game of Batman: Arkham Asylum pretty soon amidst my fragicide victim-enjoyment of Uncharted 2's multiplayer (and whatever Dead Space: Extraction I might be able to squeeze in). Also eye-ing to start playing Prince of Persia, Tornado Outbreak, Fat Princess, and Critter Crunch... and possibly some MySims Agents and A Boy and His Blob. ![]() Life is rough. |

I borrowed Halo 3: ODST and Batman: Arkham Asylum from my friend the yesterday. I played through ODST with my youngest brother in one sitting last night. I don't know if it was because of the co-op, but the game seemed very underwhelming. There was some cool moments (my favorite part about the entire game was probably the very first minute... when you're flying towards Earth) but it just wasn't anything special. The lack of Elites is such a let-down (Brutes are dumb) and the ending was possibly the worst of the series, which is saying something. I started playing AA today and am enjoying it. I've only played for a few hours so I can't say too much about it but it seems good so far. A few of the things that have happened seem to push the Teen rating. Glad to see it. |

From all the great games I've completed this year, it's a pretty tough call on which I'd pick as my favorite (even from just the last month or so, with Uncharted 2 and Assassin's Creed II!). But if I had to pick just one... it would have to be Batman: Arkham Asylum. The regular story mode was plenty good and enjoyable (and I agree, I was surprised when I found out it was only rated Teen), but it wasn't until I really devoted some time into the combat challenges that I began to get blown away at how awesome the fighting mechanics were!! Seriously, the best part of the game for me! Which is funny, since I was a BIG fan of the stealth during story mode, and would only mash buttons (and yawn) during the combat portions. |

Oh yah... on topic... I'm finishing/gathering up the remaining side-quests/treasures in Assassin's Creed II. Then I think I'm moving on to Assassin's Creed (the first, since I've never played it) and/or God of War Collection (since I've never played any of the GoW games)... mixed in with some good 'n hearty NSMBW. Demon's Souls and/or Prince of Persia are looking to be next up after that. |

Still Fallout 3 of course, and let me just say... THIS. GAME. IS. FREAKING. AMAZING. I have slept for around 4-5 hours each night this week, just because I've been squeezing in as much Fallout 3 time as humanly possible after work. Don't want to give away any spoilers, but I just escaped from a certain vault below a garage. That was the most disturbing video game sequence I've ever witnessed.
