Now that was another great system. So many great games, like Soul Calibur, Chu-Chu Rocket!, Shadow Man, Fur Fighters, Samba De Amigo, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, Sonic Adventure, and Resident Evil Code: Veronica.

I wish To this day it still remains one my favourite gaming systems of all time, only behind N64 and Sega MegaDrive. It was one of the most clever consoles ever created, everything from the VMU memory card to the in built modem were all (relatively) new ideas at the time. Plus, it was the system that began the 128 bit era. Believe it or not, Sega actually created a network adapter for the MegaDrive and online servers for games such as Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Streets of Rage, but it ended almost as soon as it began. |

my bro-in-law had one given to him a couple of years ago. he couldn't afford a ps2 at the time. he has quite a few games for it. most of them are racing games i think. he said i could borrow it sometime, which i was glad to hear. i never owned one, and i would like to try some of the games. i saw in an old gaming mag that eb was selling used dc's for $12 that's so cheap it iis crazy... |

Are you referring to the Sega Channel? On topic, I never had a Dreamcast, but I stayed at a friend's house once who did own one and I had quite a bit of fun with Ecco and Sonic Adventure. |

I love my Dreamcast!
Shenmue 1 & 2 are pure brilliance. Shame the series is unlikely to ever get finished. I also like the emulation... |

Yeah, that's what I was thinking of. I just looked it up on Wikipedia and apparently it actually lasted a lot longer than I thought (about 3 years). |

Dreamcast rocks. Soul Calibur still looks amazing. Sega Rally is still addictive. And Shadow Man on DC has bits that were cut out of the N64 version.

The Dreamcast was a great machine. I never had one, but some of my mates did, and I might pick one up, if I can find one reasonably priced (there's not a lot of computer shops around here). |

I really miss playing Chu-Chu Rocket. That was a fun game, with a lot of style.

I need to play through Shadow Man on the Dreamcast. I started it a while ago, but never got past the first serial killer (the one in prison, I forget his name). I finished the game on the N64 quite a few years ago but I'd like to see the extra areas in the DC version (the basketball courts, etc). |

I do have the Dreamcast. I think it's a terrible machine. Terrible controller and most games there don't last a single session with me. They bore me to death... But the system outlasted my Gamecube which is by far even more horrible. I have no racing game that appeals to me there. And the games don't have the wow factor. One of the few fighting games worth my time is KoF '99 and damn they didn't release KoF 2001 anywhere except Japan. Anyway, most of the games weren't very good save for a few. Shenmue 1, KoF '99, UFC... I can understand people who love it. It's just that none of the games really appealed to me. |

I quite like the Dreamcast controller, I think it's quite similar to the N64 controller. DC is the system I have the least games for... but that's more to do with my lack of knowledge when it comes to DC games, and difficulty in finding games in good condition. UK dreamcast game boxes will break if you sneeze within 10 miles of them.

I've also always liked Dreamcast controllers. The memory card was cool, too. Unfortunately I only was able to purchase (or receive) a few titles before the console broke. Those titles being Sonic Adventure (eh), South Park: Chef's Luv Shack (crap), and some WWF game. I quite liked the demo the system came with, and still have it somewhere... |

I love the Dreamcast controller, but I can understand why it recieved a lot of criticism. It is indeed very bulky and can be slightly uncomfortable at first, but I've never had a problem with it. Plus I love the VMU memory cards.
