Sometimes when I try to visit a page on this site, I get the "This page cannot be displayed" message. It seems to happen pretty randomly, and is especially annoying if it happens when I click Add Reply. It could be my computer, but it only seems to happen when I visit this site, so I'm wondering if anyone else has any problems.

I get the same thing quite frequently. It seems to be the InvisionFree servers because sometimes N64 Answers has the same problem. :(

I'm having connection problems quite a lot of the time now. Strangely, this doesn't seem to be the case with N64 Answers. Could it be the sheer volume of info on the site?

*deep breath*

Maybe it's time to start archiving or deleting older topics? Just a thought!

Any repeated topics can be deleted, or any that haven't even truly started(like my Sonic Battle topic), and what's wrong with archiving locked topics?
Even bastards need to let off some steam.

There are probably a lot of useless, old topics that could be deleted or archived. Archiving might be a great way to preserve our N64history.

^ Kinda what I was thinking. Some stuff might not even need archiving... How many times are we gonna look at the old hurt 'n' heal topics, for example?

We should vote on what topics are important enough to archive or whatnot.

I thought one of the things you liked about this forum was that the topics never purge? :-/

If there's no limit to how many topics that can be archived, I think we should archive them all. But it doesn't look like anyone here knows how to do that... >_<

This weekend I'll set up a special board(s) and set it to "Read Only Archive" and then move some of classic topics there and see what happens.

Ok, I've moved some topics, and deleted some (most by members who haven't been here in months, and many of my own topics). I'm not done yet, but if you see a topic that I missed that you think should be moved to the archives, or if there's a topic that you made and want deleted, please let me know either here or via PM.

So far I have not been archiving topics that could still have some life in them, even if it's been a while since they have gotten a post.

Hopefully this cleaning will cut down on that recurrent "page cannot be displayed" error. We'll see.

Aw man, my topic about Superman 64 and Carmageddon was put in the read-only archive! I knew I should have posted that in the reviews section...

So... move it and unlock it if you're serious. :D

No no, I can't do that! Then I'll start moving every topic back to its place and we'll never get rid of them! It's time for me to say goodbye to the old topics... ;_;

I'm still getting a PAGE NOT AVAILABLE type message every so often on this forum, but not on any other forum or WWW page. Pressing [F5] usually fixes it though.

I had thought that maybe it was some sort of quality filter, built into each browser? Say if the PC detects that STYoung has posted on a page, then it tries to prevent the user from seeing STYoungs posts? ^_^

I haven't gotten one in like a week or so. I wonder what the problem is...?
