Trivia topic

In this topic we ask and answer random trivia questions. Answer a question, post another. Feel free to search around for the answer -- its not cheating if you learn something, right?

EDIT: When you answer a question, ask a new one (even if your answer might be wrong) so that the game continues.

Here's a simple one:

What is the collective name for the first five books of the Hebrew Old Testament?

Correct, though I was looking for "Pentateuch" -- but it's the same thing so who cares?

Anyway, why didn't you ask a question Mr/Mrs Wonders?

Whoops. I guess I didn't read the "post another" part of your [dagoss] first post.
In terms of entertaining trivia, I only know some pop culture junk (spec. 1980's).
With that said, who was going to play Marty McFly in Back to the Future before Michael J. Fox?

Man I had to analyze that piece of !@#@! poem my senior year of high school. Now I'll avoid going on a rant about romantic lit.

Was the nick name "I'm a boisterous grumpy but talented composer whose work will be overlooked in the mid-late 20th century by music academe because it'll have become too much a staple of classical music (God forbid)"?

I was a music major, and you so much as say, "My favorite composer is Beethoven" and it elicits eye-rolling, sighing, etc. Or they just take a deep breath and quiz you about the most obscure details about his works.

1.) Marvell was writting about 200 years before the Romantics.

2.) I'm not a big fan of Beethoven but I chose a recognizable name instead of trivia about Borodin's masterpiece Prince Igor.

3.) You didn't answer the question.

4.) Did you notice this is the second time you have interuppted the game?

5.) I only had four points but I wanted an even five for better feng shui in the topic.

Czar Peter III, speculatively murdered on Cathrine's orders, as the guards who carried out the deed were never punished.

My question is.....

What question asked on a forum can't be answered by a quick search of Wikipedia or the internet?

Nazi Germany I believe. They were the aggressors, though Britain and France actually declared the war.

By the way, the answer to my previous question was actually Brave New World by Aldous Huxley.

Yuri Gagarin.

My dad used to have a record of Yuri Gagarin's journey into space, which I'm sure would have been worth a small fortune if he'd kept it. Unfortunately he sold all his records (including some mint condition Beatles singles, EP's and LP's) when he got a CD player. >_<

That factual error you note might have more of an impact if you had quoted the right post!

Anyway, a nipple has more nerve endings than a thigh, thus it is more arousing.
