How are you liking the new Zelda? Windwaker is my favorite Zelda (I am the painful minority that loved sailing). P.S. Ico is the man. |

It's a good game... but I'm not so sure about the controls. Rolling is a pain, and drawing lines and circles with the stylus just isn't as sensitive or as immediate as pressing a button. Hopefully the controls will grow on me, as I've only played the game for about an hour so far.
I dunno if Wind Waker is my favorite Zelda but I'm also in the minority that enjoyed the sailing sections. And it was definitely a great game. Ico is the man. Oh yes. |

I disagree about PH's controls. I've just finished the 4th dungeon and I think that the controls add a lot to the game. They work perfectly, I would even say better than d-pad controls (not better than 3D Zelda controls though). |

^ Like I said, I've only played the game for about an hour so far, so my opinion is really still first impressions. I am having trouble with rolling, though. Are there any tips you can provide? I've tried drawing both little circles and zigzags at the edge of the screen but it still seems pretty random as to whether Link will roll or not. Maybe I'm just not used to it yet? Swordplay is nice, I'm enjoying that. And being able to write on the map is a great touch.

If it controls anything like FF3DS with the stylus, walking around is probably more pain than using the D-pad. Drawing the boomerang sounds fun though. Drawing on maps is fun though. Anyone else play Etrian Odyssey? Next best thing to the fun of graph paper days! |

Since there's plenty of Phantom Hourglass discussion, I thought I'd seperate it from the "Now Playing" topic. And since it's a Zelda game, it deserves it's own topic anyway.
So... anyone else got this game? |

I recently finished this game, its a pretty good game, the controls never seem to get in the way (accept trying to roll), it will kep your attention for about 10-15 hours for the single player quest, though add a few more hours if you want to 100% it. (I would say at least another 10-20 hours without a guide). In order to collect all the boat parts (80 in all I think?) you can't just go to an area and get it since they are randomly picked each time you get a ship part. So you can own multiple ship parts. The online play is pretty fun as well. Theres plenty of side quest to hold you interest for at least awhile. |

I just got it a few days ago, I think it's pretty fun. Although like alxbly said, rolling is a pain in the ass. I can never manage to roll where I want to. |

Considering I've seen you make loads of posts here in the last week or so, it seems you would have time to play it. |

Oh I forgot to say what I think of Phantom Hourglass.
I think it's pretty good I just beat the first boss and there is nothing I don't like about it. I haven't really been playing it that much I have been into other games like Super Mario Galaxy & Ocarina of Time.
