New NFL discussion topic!

And also a true fact. He's had a stacked team for eight (or is it nine) years and has never really got the job done. Bad play calling (example: last five minutes of this game), terrible clock management, and he can't hold a news conference to save his life. Come on now, even Mike Sherman could of won a Superbowl with this team!

"We" (as in, "we, the Packers") were lucky to get rid of him. :D

(he used to be the Green Bay QB coach, iirc)

So, Saint Young, what do you think about the impending Packer/Cowboy game this Thursday? Should be an excellent game.

Hah, I wouldn't go that far, 'cause he was a good o-line coach...

Hm, my saintly wisdom predicts a Cowboys win, though I'm rooting for the Packers... :-/

If we can keep it that close without Favre, Woodson, KGB, Rouse and Franks and with a lot of questionable calls going the 'Boys way I'm very confident going there in January.

Looks like we'll be alright for the next decade at QB.

Uh, you shouldn't be confident going into January because no team can beat the Patriots this year, especially in the playoffs.

And Rodgers passes were all easy. The majority of his yards came from YAC. Hes okay, but easy throws and two decent runs wouldn't make me "confident for the next decade".

AND PLUS THE COWBOYS SECONDARY IS CRAPPY. KTHX.

Super Bowl's in Feb bud. :P Anyway, any given Sunday. If a bad team like the Eagles can keep them within three who knows.

A lot more confident than I would be with *s******* Kevin Kolb. Think what you will, he just has that pocket presence that tells me he can make it in the NFL.

Heck yeah! He's the only good thing about MNF too. Happy we didn't play some of our injured players and hurt them further, don't win the battle but lose the war.

The Badgers are going to the Outback Bowl, yay. Another non-BCS New Years Day Bowl. Haven't seen one of those EVERY YEAR I've been supporting the Badgers (Since 2005) <_< You're a Gator fan right Steve? Or was it Penn State? Or both?

Any coach who beats stoopid Miami in a National Championship game gets my respect so Joe Pa's cool.

Badgers could play the Gators in the Outback Bowl. Wouldn't think so though unless the Vols win the SEC though.

Now the regular season is over let's look at our predictions. (IE RUB IT IN STEVE'S FACE!)

http://z9.invisionfree.com/Nintendo_64_For...opic=104&st=105

RAGEDY'S SUPER AWESOME AND PROPHETIC PREDICITION

Quote:

Packers open the 2007 schedule at home vs. the Eagles :w00t: I can't see the Pack losing that one, Mcnabb is made of paper. :P ;)

Packers 2007 prediction (Just cause I'm bored and Football starved)

PHI W
@NY W
SD W
@MN L
CHI W
WAS W
@DEN W
@KC L
MN W
CAR W
@ DET W
@ DAL L
OAK W
@STL L
@ CHI L
DET W

11-5. 1st in the North. 1st Round Bye. ^_^

Let's see...I picked a notradamus-like 10 out of 16. It was 2 off my team's win total, and correctly guessed the division title and 1st round bye.

Rapueda's Response

Ooooh, good prediction!! :D

StYoung's Response (And Ragedy breaking it down with the power of hindsight

Please tell me your joking.

PHI W = Doubtful. The Eagles D plays Favre hard. It doesn't matter with McNabb, we have Westbrook to hand off to know (we didnt the last time we played you guys) and AJ Feely is a good backup anyway.

Guess you forgot about the punt returners huh?

Quote:

@NY W = This is probably right.

Damn right.

Quote:

SD W = HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Who's laughing now?

Quote:

@MN L = So you guys beat the Chargers but lost to Minnesota. Nice. San Diego will make it to the AFC championship game. Minnesota wont make the playoffs.

You were right about one part.

Quote:

CHI W = Maybe.

That game never happened.

Quote:

WAS W = Probably.

Damn right

Quote:

@DEN W = Maybe.

Sure did.

Quote:

@KC L = As I said earlier, you beat San Diego but lose to this team?

Meh. Beat them both I guess

Quote:

MN W = Probably.

Convincingly

Quote:

CAR W = Probably.

Easily

Quote:

@ DET W = Probably.

Easily

Quote:

@ DAL L = You beat the Eagles but lose to Dallas? Hah.

Hah.

Quote:

OAK W = Probably.

Easily

Quote:

@STL L = St. Louis? What? NOTE TO RAGEDY= PLAYING IN LAMBO FIELD DOES NOT MAKE YOU INVINCIBLE.

Well I had no idea the Packers roster was that soft

Quote:

@ CHI L = Maybe.

That game never happened...

Quote:

DET W = Probably.

Easily

The Eagles have a tough schedule. We have to face the AFC champions. By that I mean the Patriots, who are going to destroy the NFL this year.

StYoung's embarrassingly wrong predictions

Quote:

Now here, due to popular (read: no) demand:

Stephen Young's E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES five-month early season projection!

at Green Bay Win
Brett Favre will be under constant pressure thanks to Trent Cole and a HEALTHY Jevon Kearse.

Washington Win
Jason Campbell is alright, but won't be enough for Washington to win this. Plus, Washington will probably do something retarded in the draft as usual to end up worse off than they started.

Detroit Win
Do I even need to say anything?

at NY Giants Win
The Giants without Tiki Barber? Don't expect much. Eli Manning has historically played bad against the Eagles, and will continue to do so.

Bye Going into the bye week 4-0.

at NY Jets Win
The Jets offense isn't good enough to hang with the Eagles. And their defense isn't good enough to stop the birds.

Chicago Win
The Eagles secondary has a thing for picking off passes and returning them for touchdowns. Rex Grossman has a thing for throwing interceptions for touchdowns.

at Minnesota Win
Minnesota just isn't good enough to beat a Superbowl caliber team.

Dallas Win
Tony Homo =/= Troy Aikmen. Expect McNabb to tear up the Dallas' secondary. Unless Reggie Nelson gets drafted by the 'Boys and is as good in the NFL as he is in the NCAA.

at Washington Win
We've already gone over this.

Miami Win.
Daute Culpepperlol.

at New England Lose.
Provided nothing crazy happens, New England will win it all this year. Unless of course spending money is actually their weakness and makes them worse. Usually they just get rid of all their best players (besides Brady) to get better. Somehow.

Seattle Win.
McNabb is the true Chunky Soup QB master.

NY Giants Win.
New Jersey/A is going down.

at Dallas Win.
Yet another NFC East sweep.

at New Orleans Lose.
I want to say win because I honestly don't think the Saints will be as good this year as they were last year, but 15-1 is kinda unbelievable.

Buffalo Win.
Unless the NE strategy works for Buffalo (get rid of all the good players you have) they will have a terrible season.

14-2, NFC East champs, first round bye. Advance to Superbowl where they lose to the ungodly NE Patriots.

StYoung picked a horrible 8 out of 16. StYoung was 6 off with win total and the Eagles didn't make the playoffs and definitly did not secure a 1st round bye or home field.

That was fun! :w00t:

EDIT: I also started using a Jag Firefox theme... There was no Eagles one and I decided to pick Jax over NE.
