Deny me a sequel?

Given the power, which game or game series would you kill for all time... and why?

I'd like to kill off the Fifa Street games. The yearly updates are enough, why do we need 2kool4skool street games as well? It's EA spinning out their franchise for maximum cash and it's time it ended.

Crash Bandicoot. I can't stand to see my childhood platforming friend the star of such horrible, horrible games.

Now I'm in the mood for some CTR...

Sonic games - 3D Sonic games aren't all that great, and just seem to be getting worse. Has anyone here played Shadow the Hedgehog? Terrible.

I'd kill Mega Man. Like Sonic, it's a great series in the hands of idiots. It takes skill to ruin something so simple.

Pokémon. Don't even get me started as to why...

I also would've liked there to have been no sequel to the PlayStation...

But then there'd be no PS3. And this current generation of consoles would be terrible.

I'd say Tony Hawk Pro Skater... granted I've never been into any of them... but judging from the reviews (and the recent popularity of Skate), it seems the THPS system is a little too played out.
Now Playing: Clash Royale (mobile), Gravity Rush 2, Rayman Legends, Project CARS, Uncharted 4 Survival Mode ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

Yep, I'm going to go with Sonic. Ever since the 32bit generation, Sega have run the series into the ground and dragged it through the mud. Sure, there are a few exceptions, but none of them even come close to comparing to the original MegaDrive games.

The thing with Sonic is that everyone wants a good 3D Sonic but Sega screw it up time and time again. I dunno how they can get it wrong so often. >_<

According to the previews I've read, they haven't done too well with Nights either. You almost have to try to screw up so many series.

Hmmm, I'd always thought the original Nights was kinda overrated anyway. Still, Sonic Team aren't exactly doing great things these days. :(

well...

I think I would stop Movie games. I hate it when they take a pretty good movie then turn it into a **** game. The thing I hate the most is when they take a already **** movie then they make the game even more *****. <_<

It's repetitive. Most Saturn games are overrated just because they were the best of a bad bunch.

Ever played Panzer Dragoon Saga? Jeeeez. It's fun one twenty hour play through.

I agree with the sonic series just let it die! Or give it to Nintendo ;)

I don't think Sega should "let it die" so to speak, but instead gradually stop making Sonic games. I think it's pretty safe to say that we won't be seeing an amazing 3D Sonic game any time soon, so the Sonic Team should at least give the series an honorable death. Lets not forget that Sonic is still Sega's mascot so Sega can't just pull the plug on the series immediately.

To be honest, I think Sega probably feel the same way that we do, which is evident by the swarm of "Sonic Collections" that have been making appearances on the PS2 in the last few years. Rather than actually make a good Sonic game, they've decided to milk the franchise for everything it has. But that's not a terribly bad thing as we can all now play the 2D Sonic games on current generation consoles.

Seriously Sega - start planning to put an end to the series before its last ounce of credibility is gone forever.

I agree with Mop about Pokemon... how many more critters can they add before completing the "Dex" just becomes impossible....

I don't think Pokemon or Sonic games should be stopped but they need to change the formula for both. Pokemon needs to change because it's the same every time, Sonic needs to change because it's crap every time. >_<

Sonic will be great when Sega learns these things (Sega take note!):
*No one wants a story in a Sonic game. Robotnik kidnapped some animals. No dialog.
*No more characters. Stop using all characters except Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles.
*No voice acting. We can't take it!
*2D only. Sega is not allowed to make another 3D Sonic game until they figure out how to design a game properly. The old formula from Sonic 1-3, S&K, and CD worked fine. It should be expanded upon and taken in new directions.
*Sega must put in writing that releasing Sonic the Hedgehog (360) was an insult to all gamers and they apologize.

I'll stop there before my post starts sounding like the Treaty of Versailles. We don't want Sega to end up rearming for another war against Nintendo in 20 years, do we? (Actually, maybe we do...)

Not to mention that they release three versions of the exact same game, although I suppose that won't stop if people continue to buy every version.

I thought Mega Man Battle Network was a spin-off. Now they made a spin-off of a spin-off? For shame.

Yeah even though the Original, X, and Zero series have/are spin offs at least they stuck to the formula and kept things (mostly) simple.
