By the way, could you please review Super Mario Galaxy before I explode?

Me? I've hardly played it, so I can't really give a proper opinion. When I finish the game I'll poast a review. :)

There isn't a great deal of advice I can give, but definitely try not to over-level, since it will destroy the difficulty of the game. Don't even worry about levelling up until you get to a "certain highroad" and even then do so sparingly for each new area you explore. There's nothing more rewarding than having to complete the game using refined strategy rather than brute force.

Thanks mate. Roughly how long does it take to complete the main game?

Great, I look forward to it! ^_^
You could even use a new rating system, such as Stoat/10 (good), Halo/10 (average), or Carmageddon/10 (bad)!

Anywhere between 35 and 50 hours, depending on how much of the game you want to explore whilst completing the storyline side of things. If you don't want to spend any time levelling up, you could probably race through the main game in about 25-30 hours, but there's no fun in that.

I highly recommend thoroughly exploring every new area you visit, just to get the most out of the game. Plus you'll have a better understanding of the game if you choose to embark upon the game's ridiculous number of side quests.

-Silver necklace (got that a few weeks ago because Mrs. dataDyne is on holiday)

Is that the same Mrs. dataDyne you were having problems with when I left a few months ago?

I'm in the mood to dig out FFX, just cause I want to start something big. I haven't really liked it the other three or four times I tried so I probably will never get round to it.

The single player is short, but it's pretty intense. Multi is really what it's about and getting good at that takes time. Sadly, the multi-player is balanced more in favour of experienced players (they get weapon upgrades and better perks) but if you're willing to put in the time then you'll find it to be really rewarding.

Bear in mind I'm 22, there was a funeral this Christmas (i.e. no one cared about Christmas), and I have no friends. I got:

A chessboard made out of glass
I am America (And so can you!) by Stephen Colbert et al
Socks
Misc. amounts of money and gift certificates.

I came from a middle-lower class family so I'm rather used to not big Christmases. I can't imagine being you guys that are getting a bunch of video games and stuff.

No worries dagoss... I'm right there with you. I got two presents this year. Actually, two things combined into one present given to me by two people (one couple).

It was from my roommates... who probably spend more time on my Wii than I do (which I don't mind... it's actually a problem of me not having free time to play). Pretty thoughtful of them, really. The present(s) was/were: a USB Wii remote rechargeable battery pack (they're actually the ones who've always been buying all the batteries!!) and a new Wii remote/nunchuk skin, since one of mine was ripped (bought it before Nintendo released their official Wii condoms... rubbers... Remote Jackets). It's WAY sweet though... glows in the dark!!!! (coincidentally, so do some condoms).

To think that one could receive as many :gift: as some people here is... unsettling.

Then again, I'm the best judge of which games/systems _I_ want, and I wouldn't really entrust such a task of getting said games/systems to anyone else. I buy myself new video game crap whenever I want (which honestly is all too often)... so for me, it's Christmas ALL THE TIME. :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:
Now Playing: Clash Royale (mobile), Gravity Rush 2, Rayman Legends, Project CARS, Uncharted 4 Survival Mode ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

Yep, that's the one. :)

By the way, how far have you gotten into the game? Because the first 5 hours are basically an elaborate intro/playable movie which can be a little tiresome. You have to stick it out, but once all that is over the game really picks up (and FAST).

Ah yes, that's one of my favourite parts of the game. That's pretty damn early into the game though.

I don't think I got any games last year, so it's no surprise that this year was no different. I got a nice electric shaver, a coffee maker, a blanket, a couple DVDs, a $25 movie theater pass, and a few other small things. Most people think I own too many games, so they usually just give me money; about $270 total.
