It's not technically a video game, but the concept is very similar to light gun video games. The Seeburg Ray-o-Lite machine had a gun that emited light. A mechanical duck had a light sensing tube that, when the light was detected, fell over. It was basically one of those carnival games where you shoot over the wooden ducks with a pellet gun, but it used light instead of pellets. Still, it's rather interesting to see the same concept used by the light sensing Wiimote on something that existed in 1936. Here are a few pictures of it. |
