In this topic you post one goal or thing you want to do before the N64 Forever 2nd year anniversary witch is April 5th 2008.

EDIT: I think I'd rather write a guide instead.

Anyone saying they will post so much in a given period of time would be met with scepticism. If you're in a rush to reach 1000 posts, the quality of your posts will suffer. :(

It's Not really going to be so hard seeing as I get 100+ posts week now it will happen quick so my post quality isn’t going down.^_^ In fact I'm spell checking all my posts now. :) Also I'm not really in a rush I’ve got 4 months.

How could the quality of your posts possibly go down?

If you're making 100+ posts a week while the rest of us have been posting a maybe 10 (or in many cases, less), what perchance effect do you suspect that has on such a small forum?

In this topic you post one goal or thing you want to do before the N64 Forever 2nd year anniversary witch is Aprill 5th 2008.

I would like to get 1000 posts to my name: Currently at 382

After reading that post, I can't even begin to describe how frustrated I am. And to think that about 20 minutes ago I just made a post saying how appreciative I am of your "cooperation" with the desires of the moderators and long-term members of this board.

I might be overreacting, in fact there's a huge chance that I am. But I cannot help but feel that no matter how hard we try, we'll never get through to you. Post counts are, without a doubt, the most irrelevant and unimportant aspect of this forum. Sure, we all like to have a bit of fun and have fake post wars every now and then, but ultimately your post count does not matter.

If you want to be here for the purpose of increasing your post count, then I feel it is time for you to leave this forum. Please prove me wrong, because no matter how elitist and rude I may come across in this post, there is nothing more I would like then for you to commit yourself to increasing the quality of your posts and thus becoming an important member of this forum. You will find that within a matter of days, the situation will be almost completely resolved.

Just leave the kid alone. It's not like we get any prizes or anything (well, besides Rapueda naked, and thats not really a good prize anyway) depending on our post count.

And every post you make *****ing about his meaningless post is equally as meaningless.

Which makes this post, *****ing about *****ing about posting meaningless stuff, absolutely, entirely, utterly...meaningless.

There's one thing you haven't taken into account - the staff members have discussed this issue in full for quite some time. Just because it isn't an issue to you, it doesn't mean it isn't an issue for the other members of this forum.

And for the record, my previous post turned about to be anything but meaningless. In fact, it currently stands as one of the most effective posts I've ever written as a moderator. Ever since I typed that, Deku Link and I have begun to work together to resolve the issues regarding his posting habits, and I couldn't be any happier with his attitude towards the whole situation.

So Deku Link, what guide would you like to write before Nintendo 64 Forever's second anniversary?

The N64 might be a bit too big of a task. I believe Alxbly started one (in the guides section), poured a ridiculous amount of effort into it, but never completed the task. Starfox 64 already has numerous guides by those crazy people that try to figure out the score ceiling.

Perhaps there is an unpopular game that you've played a lot that could use a guide? Or a game you know very well but most people don't (such as Digimon, which you seem to have an affinity for -- games like that often lack the concise reference guide that they demand).

Don't do anything big for your first guide. Things like DK64 and Banjo-Tooie.

I still have a like half-finished Banjo-Kazooie guide on my computer. Its over 100K but I just kind of gave up on it gradually... :-/

Yeah don't expect me to do a DK64 guide anytime soon because
#1. I don't really like the game in the first place
#2. It's a bit big so it would require me to beat the game many times.
#3. Being a perfectionist when it comes to game I would have to find everything and that would take weeks.

As for Kirby it would only take me one playthough to get the info I need.

I was going to write a guide for Carmageddon 64 but then I found out that the game can't be finished. Not because you aren't given enough time to finish a race, not because the courses are too grainy and nondescript to navigate, not even because I could never muster up the masochistic desire to play it all the way through, but because I don't want there to be any reason whatsoever for anyone else to attempt to play, much less complete, the game.

Crappy games don't warrant a guide because who plays them? Therefore no guide to write!

Well said!

About 2 years ago, I had my mind set on writing a specialised Perfect Dark guide; an in-depth "Enemy Rockets" FAQ. The people over at the GameFAQs Perfect Dark message board were salivating at the thought of an Enemy Rockets FAQ, but unfortunately the idea never really came to fruition.

After writing the intro, I suddenly realised that I'm not a good enough gamer to even complete the game with Enemy Rockets enabled, let alone write a FAQ about it. >_<

I was unaware of the anniversary, perhaps a Perfect Dark guide. I'm still messing around with the game though so it's unlikely.

Beat some games! I am the kind of the person who will play a game but not get around to beating it. I have tons of games I still need to beat, I just can't motivate myself to play them.
