Personally I'm interested in the inspiration (and often well-made) of video game classics: Mortal Kombat: Enter the Dragon Perfect Dark: Point of No Return-> La Femme Nikita Super Mario Bros.: Alice in Wonderland

A lot of common video game tropes and themes have their origins in literature. I'd rather read something about the relationship between Final Fantasy VI and Elizabethan drama than see some cheesy B movie.

I'm pretty sure Shigeru Miyamoto said in an interview somewhere that Legend was one of the inspirations behind Legend of Zelda. I wonder if I can find a link (pun partially intended).
