Just found some information on Tell Tale Games next installment of The Walking Dead. It will be a bridging episode between season 1 and season 2. It's titled The Walking Dead : 400 Days.

Season 1 was a great experience and I can't wait to get my hands on this next episode. They say that the choices you made in season 1 will carry over to this 400 days episode and the choices will also carry on to season 2.

I'm looking forward to 400 Days, although I was hoping it would get a physical release. I'd say that for the inexpensive price and the chance to play more TWD before season two starts it should be worth it. But then again, I want season two in a physical form before I'll be checking it out. If they included 400 Days in that in a disc format I'd be willing to wait as long as it took.

Yeah I agree mate, a one disc release for season 2 would be ideal and I would also quite happily wait for that aswell. :D

I only worry about it a slight amount because of the console transition. I'd hate for the chance of a physical release getting swept under the rug with the new consoles coming out. I'm sure I'm worrying over nothing, though.

I hope they do do a physical release, I really enjoyed the first and would love to play the next.

And also i think i can say that The Last of Us has lived up to all the hype that surrounded it, Its a Freakin awesome game and its done so fantastically.

EA after a long and excruciating wait, has decided to do a reboot of one of their cult classic games, Mirror's Edge. I was incredibly impressed by the first game, regardless of some minor flaws. It was, and still is one of the most unique FPS platformers to date. Luckily with the reboot they guarantee to fix all the minor flaws plaguing the first, and make the concept flawless this time around with improved gunplay and bigger levels. My hope is that they actually use the M rating to it's full potential by giving us nice blood splatter effects, plus a genuinely thought-provoking story on the level of what Rockstar Games might produce. The environments in this game LOOK AMAZING. DROOL WORTHY. They plan to closely follow the aesthetic of the first. Check out the teaser:

Well that sucks, whats the point if having R18+ rating here now if they are still gonna ban games.

Wasn't going to buy this game anyway. I thought the 3rd one was pretty rough. The first 2 IMO were easily better than the 3rd one. According to the report though it will still be released but the game makers are making some changes so it fits into our current rating system.

“In addition, the game includes elements of illicit or proscribed drug use related to incentives or rewards. Such depictions are prohibited by the computer games guidelines.”

I honestly agree with this statement. Making illicit drugs as a reward incentive IMO is not cool, and they possibly need to re think there game if they are including stuff like this as a reward. You can put any rating you want on a game, at the end of the day kids are still going to play them, and this type of exposure should be limited as kids will probably think it's cool, which it's not :D

You Australians are always left out...

I still remember when GTA 3 (or VC?) came out, it was actually on our TV news that the game was being banned in AUS.

And it still was released. I wouldn't be too concerned about SR4, the game will get a full release here when the developer fixes up some of the rubbish that they decided to include in there game.

Edit - Well the State of Decay thing sux. But I'm with the classification board on this one too. Why do developers think it's a good idea to include illicit drugs and other drugs into there games as a reward system. I personally find this to be really lame.

Maybe I'm highly desensitized these days but none of the stuff that they do in most of these games surprises me anymore. I understand how others might not like it, though. Its a bummer either way.

It's truly unfortunate that Australia seems more strict on that kind of content. I remember when a huge ruckus was created over Rockstar's Manhunt. I think if it's safe for millions of people to play the games on another continent, why shouldn't it be fine to play anywhere?

On the subject of Saints Row 4 though... I really REALLY want to pre order this justs for the dubstep gun

Honestly, I think its stupid banning games because of a "drug reward"

Its a game set in a gang, there's bound to be drugs involved at some point, I remember SR 2 where you could go to a store and buy joints and get your in game character high, was that banned?

Sometimes it's silly things. I think Twisted Metal had some additionally censored scenes during the cutscenes (they'd turn to black before a gory bit, like when
Spoiler: click to toggle
). The audio still plays and all, so I don't see the point of removing the video ; we clearly know what is going on.

I guess it's a tricky situation... By the way, how's the situation in AUS regarding violence, vices and sex on movies and TV (no "family guy" reference intended)? Is any of that banned there also?

Yeah fine, it only seems to be the drugs as a reward thing that our country takes issue with when handing out classifications. :D

Now here is some GOOD news:

The Walking Dead: 400 Days is coming THIS week!

Ack! Coming to Xbox Live on Friday but PSN tomorrow. I have the original game on the 360 and since the save file is supposed to work with this new game I'll have to wait again.
