Spoiler: click to toggle Gotta love his unique staccato way of speaking I just saw some 7 minute footage of the Killzone Shadowfall multiplayer and, though I was initially going to 'wait and see' on this one, I now have it pre ordered along with Watch Dogs. I was going to pre order Driveclub, but I figure I'll be able to buy it at bargain price quicker than most of the other ps4 titles since it has a PS+ Edition.

Outback Adventurer Posts: 6,734 Group: Admin Member #658 Joined: November 10, 2011	Got the phone call the other day from the place where I placed my online pre-order to confirm that I will indeed get a PS4 on launch day here in Australia. So I went in today to hand over a deposit. The guy told me that he phoned the people that had pre-ordered and that there allotment wouldn't be enough to cover the amount of pre-orders that were taken. He said that the unlucky people would have to wait until February (ouch) to get there PS4 in. Luckily I answered my phone that day. He said that he started contacting people about it and the ones that he got a hold of were the lucky ones to get one from the allotment.

It was a bit of an optical illusion for me at first, seeing as though every GTA game before has had multiple islands connected by bridges. Really looking at the map though I realized just how expansive it is, super excited for Tuesday. It's gonna take me over a year to explore everything lol. I'm glad they've finally put the entire map into one giant landmass, as playing in the past the bridges would always be a problem area for me, whether trying to escape the cops, races, or doing a car theft mission where you had to keep the car undamaged. There have been many occasions where I'd mess up a vehicle or get pinned down on one of the island-to-island bridges, I felt they've always been restrictive. Glad to see it's changed-up. The aspect I hope they never change is Laslow's parodical radio show. He's been a staple of the series since GTA 2. From Chatterbox to Integrity 2.0 he's done a great job at mocking society, fits really well into the game. Looking forward to listening to his show next week. Incredible, that's how big the gaming industry is in comparison to the movie industry. It's kinda just hit me how badly I want to play this game, lol. Tuesday cannot come soon enough. My mailman better deliver my package real early or else I'm going on a rampage. Sometimes he comes in the around 9 am in the morning, and other times he comes as late at 7pm at night. Please be early. lol

All I ever hear is horror stories from Aussie gamers, glad to hear you guys are getting some benefits on the modern gaming front. And man my mailman don't know jack! haha, the post office actually rotates who they have deliver mail to my house daily. It's insane I have no idea how they orchestrate it, but I never get the same mailman on the same day. Because of this, all my mailmen are usually late. I rather get the game later in the day than support Gamestop though. I stepped in there last week for the first time in over two years to check out their promotional extra trade in credit thing towards GTA V, and guess what? They were willing to give me $3.72 for LA Noire. Keep in mind this is with the EXTRA credit. NO THANK YOU. Hate those b@st@rds. Yeah it's an old game, but if they would have given me 3x as much they'd still not lose any money. They're both securing themselves a sale for a brand new title + at least making cost for what they paid me. What was I thinking, I won't walk in there again at least for a few more years. I'm not too bothered though. I have plenty of other things to play and if the idea of the waiting gets to me I'll cancel my pre-order and just pick up a copy from my Walmart on day one.

I see it on kijiji about every week for that price. you have to understand they have a business to run and they wont run long on 1$/game profit. of course this is a ridiculous offer, cant argue that, but Gamestop is there to make money, not please gamers.

Seriously who is not buying this lol. I understand that it's not everyone's cup of tea. There obviously won't be people buying it. But I read somewhere that there projected sales should be in the vicinity of 25 million sales by early next year.
