I feel sequels to Red Dead or LA Noire would be almost too expected. Rockstar is known for their surprises, I feel like we're going to see a complete overhaul on their long lost franchises like Bully, Manhunt, or even another movie-game spin-off on one of their fav cult classics, (like they did with The Warriors). Rockstar games was built on the foundation of varied famous "bad-ass" movies. For example their Grand Theft Auto series was based off the movie Grand Theft Auto. I would love to see them tackle another movie-to-game adaption considering that genre is almost void of good titles. Here is a list they published of some movies that inspired them to create games, many of these influences can be found in games like Max Payne and LA Noire. If you like movies you should definitely start watching the most recent flicks on their list and work your way back. http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/20741/rockstar-recommends-a-chronology-of-favorite-movie-shootouts-and.html The game Sleeping Dogs by Square Enix was entirely based off Asian crime thrillers, although I felt it was lacking a decent plot and felt like a cheaper knockoff of a Rockstar Games title. Now Hong Kong action cinema is known for their slo-mo shootouts, (which can literally be seen in every Rockstar game lol) so this is dreaming on my part but it'd be pure joy for me if they did a sort of recreation of Sleeping Dogs and showed their appreciation for that genre of movies. It would never happen simply because less than 1% of people in the US have actually seen an action movie from Hong Kong, lol. Anyway I love it when Rockstar does something vastly different because they always seem to pull it off and create an engaging story. The Hong Kong atmosphere (or even London) would be wild for a possible LA Noire spin-off that takes place overseas. That's basically the type of game I want from Rockstar, it's late I hope that made sense. haha One thing's for sure, yes Dee they need to release something ASAP!  After The Last of Us and Heavy Rain I'm now very spoiled with the quality of single player campaigns in my games, I want them all to be mind-blowing. ha

A far as story telling goes in games I think we have been a bit spoiled of late. It's been a good year for gaming. I'm waiting in anticipation to see what some of these game creators can come up with next.

It'll be a good one Dee, I'm sure.  While I'm not crazy giddy for any triple-A next-gen games (yet... though inFamous: SS is gaining momentum) I've a feeling I'll be busy next year playing (or looking forward to playing) all sorts of cool/innovative smaller titles from all those indie developers that Sony has been courting of late.

Looking forward to seeing how Batman: Arkham Origins is received Friday. I hope it does well and satisfies fans of the first two games. If it does well then it will make it all the easier for me to return to Asylum and City and actually finish those games before the day comes that I can pick up the prequel, many moons down the road.

Yeah it does but apparently the game is terrible. Here's a review I found on IGN that I remembered reading a while ago and thought I'd give it a miss. http://au.ign.com/articles/2012/05/15/game-of-thrones-review But hey a 4 out of 10 isn't too bad right? At this point in time I'm totally sold on Telltale Games and what they can do with a license. And I haven't even played A Wolf Among Us yet!

Still on The Wolf Among Us. Telltale Games still haven't set a release date for episode 2(not that I can find anywhere). They said late November but nothing has come up yet, which is a bit disappointing.

Wow, so I go to finally play The Wolf Among Us today and find out that, on 360, the season pass I already paid for only covers episodes 2-5. I still have to pay to play the first episode. I know I'm still saving money but what a backward way to do it.

Yeah I saw that today too and thought it looked really good.  I don't think he is a playable character though since they tell you that a "Challenger has appeared" when they do that. I was thinking that its probably an assist trophy or something of that kind. |

Correct it was confirmed by sakurai to be an assist trophy. Still, supposedly a huge reveal by Nintendo is coming tomorrow at the vgx awards, possible hint to a majors mask sequel!? Who knows, but I hope it's either Zelda or 1080 XD |

So it was confirmed during the VGX today that Telltale Games is making a Game of Thrones game (very cool) but they also showed a trailer for a game based on...Borderlands? Not sure what to think about that (not a Borderlands fan) but whatever. |

I ended up buying a copy on the 360 second hand a few months after its release. Picked it up quite cheap too. The upgraded version looks really good. I'm thinking worth another play through. I remember it being a really good game

$60 in Australia is a great price for a brand new game. Specials might go for $69 and usual price is around $80. Might be cheaper to buy them overseas and get them posted to me. Although I can't play them straight away and have to wait a couple of weeks for them to arrive. |

Has there been anything more confusing this year than the saga of Metal Gear Solid V? They announced Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain and then made it sound like they were the same game, as in ONE title alone. Now I see on both GameFAQs and Amazon that they are separate releases. I'm really confused. I pre-ordered Ground Zeroes for PS3 but can't seem to find Phantom Pain on Amazon anywhere for PS3.
