It's looking like a new Red Dead. But knowing Rockstar it'll be 2-3 years away. Any sooner and I'll be celebrating. Ether way I'm keen and I'll be playing it

Well, Fall 2017. And I figured it was Red Dead related, as did everyone, but I couldn't shy away from the fact that Rockstar could swerve us all and drop something else. Thankfully they didn't do that to us.

I kinda hope that Red Dead Redemption 2 is just a working title but I don't think thats the case. It doesn't matter too much. Red Dead Redemption was my favorite game that Rockstar has ever made so I'm definitely looking forward to the trailer. I haven't bought a new game since Bayonetta 2 came out so I hope this can be the one to pull me back into the modern era. |

AFAIK they still owe Sony an exclusive after Agent was canned. I have to imagine they'll be working on that at some point. |

I think I may have died and gone to Sony heaven. The Last of Us Part II is a thing and it stars the returning Joel and Ellie! Sign me up for sure. Also, the remastered Crash Bandicoot looks awesome as well. |

I know a lot of people are actually disappointed that the story involves Joel and Ellie again but it's not the end of the world. Hopefully the game and story are just as good as the first. Sony definatly had some great announcements today. Knack 2 anyone? ( maybe not that one. ) Parappa is getting remastered too. In glorious 4K QUALITY. Odd choice but that's also cool. I'm actually most interested in Marvel vs Capcom Infinite. Marvel isn't going to be 3 on 3 anymore which is a little odd. I'm sure the game will be fine but Marvel was always about 3 on 3. I wonder if this is because people complained about the character balance and zero to death combos in Marvel vs Capcom 3? I think those people were missing the point of the game in the first place. Big Uncharted fan, getting a PS4 this Christmas, so the new Chloe spinoff was a good one for me. Initially I thought it was the rumored Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Also nice to see Vita games! TLoU is a little *extreme* for me but it's always looked to be well crafted, and the sequel looks just as good. |

I think the reason I am excited about Joel and Ellie returning in TLOU II is because if anyone can pull it off it would be Naughty Dog. Let the movie cover other characters/stories because no one is going to be able to depict Joel and Ellie in a live action setting, in my opinion. |

When Shawn Layden stepped out on stage wearing a WipEout T-shirt, I kid you not - my eyes widened and my heart beat a little bit faster. When he mentioned getting grief last year over his Crash T-shirt at PSX, I thought "SHUT UP"... and then within a split second of the following trailer, I was in total disbelief... WipEout LIVES!!! Realizing a few seconds later that this was probably a remaster, that these were all sights/tracks I'm INTIMATELY familiar with (which was then confirmed as a remaster by the end of the trailer) my excitement died down a little bit. But still... the fact that it's coming back as a collection for PS4 proves that Sony isn't ready to kill off the franchise, despite their shutting down Studio Liverpool. So I'm still, QUITE stoked! Will I actually play the collection though?? That I'm not so sure... I've spent literally hundreds of hours between WipEout HD, Fury, and 2048, and I rarely ever re-play any games... Plus... the thought of facing off against that Elite AI again... *shivers* |

Some people have said it above, but The Last of Us Part 2 got me fist pumping the air  Loved the first one so much I've started another game I'm just hoping we see it in 2017, the wait is already hurting

I never got around to buying a PS3 so the Omega Collection has me giddy. With the WO:OC reveal and the possibility of a new Samurai Shodown game on the PS4 in 2017, I'm really looking forward to the new year! |

I'm thinking 2018, possibly with a delay to 2019. Personally, I'm getting excited for Mass Effect Andromeda. Like Uncharted I'd played the first two games but not the third, so as I make my way through ME3 I've been pleasantly surprised at the technical improvements. |

Speaking of Mass Effect technical improvements, here's 2012's variant of Unreal Engine 3 vs 2017's Frostbite Engine.  (not the same character). I have to admit...I'm not impressed. I know it's not final yet and it may look better 'in person' but...eek. |

I haven't been keeping up with Andromeda but I remember Mass Effect 3 still has some pretty great models. If the environments and lighting were better but the model quality was still the same I think I would be fine with the that. I think the biggest problem is that the character head they use here looks like a default created wrestler or a sim. Not much life in that face |

Reminds me a little of Fallout 4 in that it isn't an impressive leap forward, and they hadn't even switched engines. |

Jesus Christmas the Switch is only a week away... hiiiign If it makes it easier to wait just remember that all major Zelda games get early praise. Then once everyone's beaten and praised it the only people left talking bout it are the people who don't like it. Then everyone calmly decides the games are good but flawed and no one argues or fights at all. Its a beautiful cycle that I can't wait to witness again. |

 All the news coming out about Shadows of Valentia (a remake of FE Gaiden) is making me really excited for it. They've brought back the Awakening localization team, it's got casual mode for people like me who are bad at strategy ( ) and the story looks good.

I wouldn't call it hype but this concept of Rpg-esque games based on simplified versions of sports has grabbed me recently. If I had a Switch I would be interested in Golf Story. Thing is I just played 2 N64 fishing games in the Nushi Tsuri series which is known for its rpg mechanics and I started liking golf quite a bit after playing some of the N64 golf games (which aren't great games really). I like it enough to have the PGA tour on tv playing in the background while I write. To be honest I feel a bit snobbish that I'm more interested in this than Mario Odyseey, Splatoon 2, or Arms. This and Snake Pass are the only things I would really like to try on Switch. |
