Im still not sure about the special edition one here in AUS im not sure its the same in US or not but its the 'Joel edition' one, its only 15 dollars more tho so ill have to look into it a bit more. |

The Last of Us is looking like it's really shaping up to be an AWESOME experience, no doubt. I'm sure it'll be an amazing game... Naughty Dog is a very capable dev! Uncharted 1 was superb, and I think I'd logged nearly a month's worth of combined total hours playing Uncharted 2 multiplayer (more than any other multiplayer game ever, for me!!). But for some reason, I never got sucked into the story for Uncharted 3, and literally stopped playing about 5 chapters in. Hardly even touched the multiplayer, too...  Probably just O.D.'d on all things Uncharted from UC2 multiplayer.  No, wait... that couldn't be it... I played through all of UC: Golden Abyss on the Vita and enjoyed it plenty! Anyways... back to The Last of Us... I actually AM looking forward to it. I've got both the Post-Pandemic and Survival Editions pre-ordered!!

So The Last of Us has been pushed back by 5 weeks to June 14. Once again, I'm not bothered by release dates getting pushed back as long as it means the end product will be as good as it should be. And it is, yet again, allowing me more time to save money for other purchases. Can't complain about that! |

Right! Totally bummed, but it's for the greater good. Naughty Dog have proven to make great use of their time, so an extra month for them should make all the difference! |

Tomb Raider in a couple days! Although I won't get my copy for awhile, what with shipping and all that. I went with cheap shipping through amazon.com so it'll be 5-7 days but it is all good. I have plenty to play in the meantime.  EDIT: Game and strategy guide are officially paid for, according to my bank website. Getting excited to see the collector's edition of both arrive at my door! I just pre-ordered Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX. It states that it is coming out by the end of the year but I wonder if that is a placeholder date. Main concern is that I want to see a HD collection that will include KH2 that will be available on the PS3. |

I really want Tomb Raider but I think I will just wait it out and snatch up a Collector's Edition for cheaper in a few months (i noticed most CE's end up on shelves for a good while until price drop) |

Quite true... especially for big-budget, big-name releases like this one. The rare exceptions are the "limited" collector's editions that truly are LIMITED... like those for Ni no Kuni, Dead Space 3, Kingdoms of Amalur, Demon's Souls, etc. (just off the top of my head). |

Collector's Editions are always so tempting for me and Tomb Raider is one of my favorite game series ever so I totally had to have this one on day one. But, I have to limit my CEs to games like Tomb Raider so I don't financially sink myself. I downgraded my Dead Island: Riptide to the regular version and will keep most of the other pre-orders I have that way for the rest of the year. Only GTA V might tempt me with an extra special edition. |

I'm really upset at the moment that my Tomb Raider stuff didn't arrive today. I am looking right at the tracking info on Amazon and it went from Coffeyville, Kansas to Tulsa, Oklahoma yesterday and arrived here in Joplin as of 1:30am today. They had all day to deliver and they didn't. Makes no freakin' sense to me.

Yeah, I could have just stopped in at the UPS building and picked it up myself since they couldn't be bothered. Oh well, I'm not sure if I would have gotten time with it tonight and, if it gets delivered tomorrow I'll be home since I'm off work, therefore I wouldn't have missed much time. It was just the principle of it all.  EDIT: Both packages (the game and the strategy guide) are out for delivery, as of 4:30 this morning. I wonder why so early? I doubt they are delivering to anyone before, say, 7am. Oh well, should be incoming as long as they don't put the delivery off until this evening. Edited by The Red Shadow, Mar 6 2013, 07:17 AM.

It finally arrived! At 5:30 this afternoon. Oh well, it is here and I will finally get to play...tomorrow, more than likely. I'll post pics in a few days in that wonderful topic about the games we've bought recently, along with the other arrivals of the day. |

oh wow, at least it has arrived. It will make it all the more special now that you have had to wait a significant amount of time to get it in your hands. I think I'll pick this up in a few weeks. It will go into a long line of games that are backing up waiting for me to play. |

Sooooo, I took a big chance and pre-ordered the upcoming The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct game from Amazon since they are pricing it at $37.49 right now. Originally a $50 game, and releasing this coming Tuesday here in the States, I have spent the last hour or so looking up stuff about it. It is kinda scary that, at less than a week before release, there isn't much in terms of gameplay footage or early reviews/impressions. It just sounds like they are incorporating some interesting ideas in the game and, if anything, it might be a clunky but enjoyable first person horror game based on a popular TV property. We'll see. I'm doing the whole "hope for the best but expect the worst" thing right about now.

I didn't pony up for speedy shipping for TWD: SI but apparently it has shipped this evening from a location unspecified and will arrive by the 28th at 8pm. It is going through Fedex so I'm wondering if they have a super slow delivery method. I imagine it won't quite take that long to ship but we'll see. I am going to keep a close eye on the tracking info. Tomb Raider was shipped from Kansas, just next door to me here in Missouri. It would be awesome if all my Amazon pre-orders shipped from there and arrived quick so I could continue to save money on shipping in the future. EDIT: Nope, looks like this time it is coming from Phoenix, Arizona. So I guess the potential is there for it to float around for awhile as it goes from the southwest to Missouri. Army of Two The Devil's Cartel comes out next week here. Me and a mate have played through the first two and have played through the first two of Kane & Lynch. I love playing these two player co-op FPS games. IMO there a lot of fun and I have really like the Army of Two series. The reviews are looking good also. Watched some gameplay footage a while ago and I liked what I saw.

Dee, you reaaaaaally need to pick up a PS3, so we can play Dead Space 3 co-op. Easily my #1 fave co-op game ever!! (Perhaps you can put off buying a home just a little longer!!)  Also, Red... I hope you didn't unwrap your copy of TWD:SI yet... reviews so far are making it look like it's a pretty abysmal game...  (Amazon's return policy is pretty awesome & easy to follow... worst (and typical) case - you get refunded $5 less than the original purchase price... just to cover re-stocking/shipping fees. Quite fair, in my opinion.) |

I've been keeping up on it over on GameFAQs pretty well but I'm not scared in the slightest. Every once in awhile I just decide to throw caution to the wind and give a potentially bad game the benefit of the doubt. If it sucks, so be it. I'm actually not all that impressed by Amazon's return policy and that is why I have a useless 5-port switch sitting on my computer desk right now. By the time I would have returned it to them I would have ended up with less than $3 back. Maybe a higher dollar item would be worth it, though. I will admit that a small part of me is disappointed I didn't pre-order Bioshock Infinite for next week. But I think I can live without that one until it reduces in price in the future. |

Mate, I used to have a PS3, I sold it years ago though cause I never played it. Not sure if I would buy one. I may double dip next Gen just for the exclusives that each console carries. |

An update on the arrival of my Walking Dead: Survival Instinct game. It shipped from Phoenix, Arizona on the 20th and arrived in Kansas City, Missouri on the 22nd. It shipped out from there the next day and I was hoping it would arrive in my town today but noooooooooooooo, it has instead arrived in St. Louis as of this evening. I am not amused.

That waiting time is pathetic Red. I wouldn't be too worried though. The game has had some awful reviews, so much so Im thinking about not getting it now. maybe I can hire it for a couple of nights first, see how it goes. |

Yeah, that's not a bad idea. As for the shipping time, I just think it is hilarious how you spend MORE money for them to get a game (or anything for that matter) to you quickly, while you pay less or even nothing at all and they ship your item to ten different places. Seems like it would cost them more to have it go so many places along the way.
