EDIT by alxbly: Please keep all guide and FAQ discussion within this topic. Finished guides should be posted seperately.

Anyone working on one/planning to?

Perhaps we could organize some guides in this topic or something.

I'm working on a N64 FAQ, but none for any games at the moment. How are you doing with the rarity list?

I might do one for GoldenEye, seeing as how it's basically the only game i play, but i'm not sure what i could write that hasn't been said 400 times already

I'm thinking of doing a basic FAQ for Quest 64, complete with actual good Questions and Answers, not "Why bother with this game?" but instead "How do we know which monster will possibly drop an item?".

Yes, there's no good faqs out there for pure Questions.
Even bastards need to let off some steam.

^ That'd be pretty cool, seriously. Obviously, the popular games see a lot more coverage than the marginalized ones, so I always think it's a good thing to see some more FAQ support for those lesser-praised titles. Not to undermine another FAQ for games like Goldeneye... some games just deserve all the attention they get, too! ;)

I thinking adding "prozors" techniques for multiplayer in these games could be a good idea, Goldenye and Bomberman I am thinking of.

Nice work. If only you had some kind of new N64 controller that definitely would help your guide. ^_^

(Oh no! I don't have a guide!)

If I win a certain controller, I'll start a guide! And -- uh -- my guide will be for a game that isn't heavily saturated, like a certain, very popular bird-in-backpack game...

I sit down thinking about doing guides (first game I thought about doing one for was Earthboun) then I realized its a long, lengthy project... and I'm not the kind of person to sit down with one game a month after I beat it.

Though the guide you made seems pretty nice, read a few parts and looks like its ready to be submitted to gamefaqs :o... finish it sometime yo.

Maybe if you'd spend more time making the guide, and less time jerking off promoting Honest Gamers, it'll be done... ;) ;)

The new N64forever is wherever I happen to be at at any given moment. For example, if I am at the grocery store, the grocery store is N64forever. If I am visiting porn sites google, then google is N64forever. Right now, N64forever is N64forever, but in a few minutes, slashdot or wikipedia might be N64forever.

So, is anyone working on any guides just now? I have about four controllers to test out... boring! Maybe I should create a 2D Bomberman 64 (Japanese version) guide... maybe..

^ I'll take that as a "no"... :P

I've been rearranging my photobucket account so some photos in the various guide I've done will be missing until I get things sorted out again. Should be fixed in the next few weeks/months/years... ;)

The only thing I've been considering is to submit my game save list to GameFAQs. It would need to be edited a little to conform to their standards, and I don't think image links are allowed either.

Have you thought about submitting any of your guides to GameFAQs? Your cleaning and maintenance guide in particular is one I think they would accept, although I don't think you'd be able to use your pictures.

I just thought that I'd mention that ASSEMbler has recently been having a blowout sale of around 100 of the LodgeNet hotel N64 controllers (I believe he bought up a hotel) over at his forums. Last time he updated the thread, there were only 8 left, one of which I have managed to snap up. These are going to skyrocket in price, and if I were richer, I would buy several, as they would be a valuable investment.

One of these will soon be on its way to me, so if anyone here manages to pick one up, I've already called shotgun on the posting of high-quality images of the controller.

EDIT: 100th post! :gift: :mario:

Cheers,
Franklint
