I guess Rush shall never return... Anyways, all Invisionfree forums are being transferred to ZetaBoards, so we've now got a whole new feature set to tinker with! I'm still not too fond of the actual look of the site, but the better features make me easily overlook that. And... more emoticons! Of which I look for any excuse to poast!

I was surprised to see that over there at the Midway boards some folks are starting to mail bomb Midway about Mace. I thought it was a strange coincidence. Midway though needs to worry more about their bank books than copyright issues.

I hope other companies pick them up. Well, if Midway goes bankrupt, the entire list of assets goes into liquidation. They will probably put up all their game licenses up for sale (like what happened to Acclaim when it went under...) things that do not get sold will have their copyrights dispersed into the people who created the game. For example, graphics of the game goes to the 3d artists, sound goes to the composers, game code goes to the programmers, etc. But this will all take several years, maybe even more than a decade for the dust to settle. That's at least a good number of years before you'll see a resurrection of Rush. Of course, if they make it out like Acclaim who is once again an active company, they would not have any rights to any of the assets they used to own. They'd probably have to buy back any asset they want.

Small development houses going under is one thing but a big publisher like Midway? That's a real surprize. Maybe we should start a topic on this?
