I won't even bother naming one, since I'm that damn lazy.

The Director's Cut on both Wii and DS are almost exactly identical. Of course, the Wii version has fancier animation and the DS has a few puzzles redone using the Touch screen.

Thanks for the impressions. I don't have a DS so it'd be the Wii version I'd get, and I haven't played the GBA one. I liked the point-and-click adventure games on the NES so I'm curious what more recent ones are like.

I'm not really a Ghostbusters fan but the game looked like fun. I didn't know it had co-op though, that makes it more enticing.

I prefer the Wii version. You're not missing out on anything by picking it up. Do bear in mind, it's a point and click game, and hence, it's an acquired taste.

Ghostbusters can be fun... but it can be kind of tedious too. If you play coop, the second player can join in before the start of a mission. The game disconnects the 2nd player when you go back to HQ, so the second player needs to reconnect and join again. Having coop certainly makes the game more interesting. It also makes things a little bit more rowdy and confusing since the visibility is halved... and both of you will be blasting on ghosts so you'll be seeing the proton pack streams fly around the room.

It seems every time I finish a game to remove from my "hope to 100% this year" list, another one comes along and takes its place. That said, I beat Batman: Arkham Asylum 100% last Sunday, and started up Assassin's Creed II on Monday. (yes, yes, it wasn't released until Tuesday, blahblahblah.) But back to Batman. Seriously, Batman: Arkham Asylum is one of the best games I've ever played, specifically in terms of gameplay. Combat in this game is absolutely STELLAR. Stealth is really really really really good as well. They're both done so well in fact, that it's a crying shame you can get through the entire game (on Hard) without knowing how to FULLY utilize the tools available to you. Absolutely unbelievably well done combat engine. So I now have 3 most favorite games ever (Dead Space, Uncharted 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum).

finished this year:
03/01/09 - Braid (need speed run for 100%)
03/01/09 - Noby Noby Boy ("100%")
03/12/09 - Flower (100%)
03/20/09 - Professor Layton and the Curious Village (100%)
05/25/09 - Street Fighter IV (100%)
06/21/09 - PixelJunk Eden (100%)
08/02/09 - WipEout HD (100%)
08/02/09 - Burnout Paradise (100%... no 102% yet)
08/13/09 - LittleBigPlanet (100%)
08/13/09 - inFamous (100%)
09/20/09 - Resident Evil 5 (100%)
09/20/09 - Rock Band 2 (100%)
10/03/09 - Dead Space: Extraction ("Hard" playthrough)
10/05/09 - Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (100%)
10/19/09 - Uncharted 2: Among Theives (100%... still need multiplayer medals/boosters)
10/30/09 - Trine (100%)
11/15/09 - Batman: Arkham Asylum (100%)

And since I lost practically ALL my game saves (thanks to a hard drive failure the other week) >_< , I probably won't get to Dark Sector and MotorStorm this year... so I've removed them from the list below... not that anyone would've noticed. :P

hope to 100% this year:

Assassin's Creed II
Prince of Persia
Dead Space: Extraction
Tornado Outbreak
Picross DS
Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box
Prototype
BioShock/Dead Rising
Now Playing: Clash Royale (mobile), The Swapper, Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault, Project CARS, Uncharted 4 Survival Mode ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

A couple of days ago I finished the Borderlands DLC; The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned. It's as silly as it sounds, but darned good fun as well. :D I enjoyed it so much that I've pushed even further into my second playthrough of the game... I'm getting pretty close to 100% on this one. :o

I can't see me finishing much else this year, except perhaps Assassin's Creed 2.

Just as I said that... ^_^

Managed to squeeze in one last game before I finish off Assassin's Creed. I rented Terminator Salvation last week and finished it tonight. It's quite average; the enemies aren't very clever, the characters are poorly animated at times and it's pretty short; if I'd bought it rather than rented it then I'd be feeling ripped off. But it's a short distraction with Terminators, lots of robots and some sweet guns. Even with that... and despite me being a massive fan of anything with robots... it's hard to recommend it. :-/

I wish there could just be one robot movie game that was good. :(

I just completed the story in Assassin's Creed 2! :D It's an excellent game, although they really stretch out the ending (just as they did in the first). I've still got a few achievements to unlock but I dunno if I want to spend ages just finding feathers. >_<

So, given that there's only 2 very busy weeks left in the year, I reckon that must be about the last game I'm gonna finish in 2009. Two weeks though... maybe time for one more... :D

Nice one alxbly!! Yeah, Assassin's Creed 2 is a great game, I had a blast playing through it! And yes, finding all those damned feathers is a pain. I'm guessing you didn't have much issues with the game being a little buggy on the 360?? One thing that sticks in my mind with my PS3 play-through is the bugs, while not common, were rather noticeable. Probable most noticeable (and consistent) were the game freezing if there were MANY enemies attacking you, and you use a smoke bomb. >_< Ahh well... it never killed my game, and I AM even slowly making my way through the first Assassin's Creed... on the 360. :w00t:

Here's a couple of late entries I forgot about.

In October, I was robbed by SEGA I completed House of the Dead 4 (on an arcade machine). Well, technically it was a co-operative playthrough with my brother. Come to think of it, I got a game over before we beat the boss, so really it was my brother who beat it. But I saw the credits, so it counts. :P

I also beat Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on the Virtual Console, fair and Square. Hey, grinding for extra lives isn't cheating!

Mega Man 2
Star Parodier
Body Harvest
House of the Dead 2
Space Station Sillicon Valley (100%)
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Mario Kart 64
Super Mario Bros. 2
New Super Mario Bros.
House of the Dead 4
Sonic the Hedgehog 2

I'm not gonna finish any more games this year, so I thought I'd look at what I've finished this year:

24 full games
6 DLC packs

18 of the 24 games were on the 360, 3 were on PS3, 2 on Wii and 1 on GBA.

Of the games I completed, 9 were first person shooters, 7 were third person shooters, 2 were sandbox games. I also finished a fighting game, first person adventure, point and click adventure, rail shooter, RPG and a third person adventure.

The only games I felt compelled to re-play on hard difficulty was Resident Evil 5.

The DLC packs were all for first person games (dunno whether to count Fallout 3 as FPS or a FPA...).

That is a fine, fine statistics, alxbly. :yeah:

I'm racing to finish one more title to wrap up the year. After I finish it (should happen in a day or two, which is cutting it close!), I will tally mine. :D

So the last game for the year for me is Def Jam: Fight for NY.

I've finished 12 Wii games. 2 VC ones. 2 Gamecube ones. 10 DS games and 3 GBA games.
3 RPGs. 8 Fighting games (Wrestling games count). 3 football games. 2 racing games. 3 adventure games. 2 music games. 4 action adventure games.

Interesting to see I've played more fighting games than other types. Classic controller will help bump that up for sure.

The year is over... My final list of beaten games is this:

Kung Fu Panda (Xbox 360)
We Love Katamari (PS2)
de Blob (Wii)
Psychonauts (PS2)
Mario Kart Wii (Wii)
Super Mario Bros. 3 (GBA remake)
Yoshi's Island DS (DS)
Gears of War (Xbox 360)
Lego Star Wars (PS2)
Portal (Xbox 360)
Trauma Center: Second Opinion on Normal difficulty (Wii)
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (GameCube)
Donkey Konga (GameCube)
Mario Kart: Double Dash!! (GameCube)
The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition (Xbox 360)
Splosion Man (Xbox 360)
Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc (GameCube)
Guitar Hero World Tour on Medium difficulty, guitar and bass (Xbox 360)

18 games beaten, and 1 almost beaten (I'm almost done with The Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks, I'll probably beat it in the next few days).

16 retail games (of which 4 on Xbox 360, 4 on GameCube, 3 on PlayStation 2, 3 on Wii, 1 on GBA and 1 on DS)
2 downloadable games, both on XBLA

not bad considering how little time I had for gaming this year :)
