I'm marktheshark. I like the N64 alot & I have over 40 games for it & I enjoyed most of them. I don't have much else to say, but here's a few questions I want to ask you guys:

1. How busy are these forums?

2. Besides Sin & Punishment, what other good JPN-only N64 games are worth getting?

3. Which is better, N64 gamesharks or N64 Action Replays?

Hi there and welcome to N64 Forever!

To answer your questions:

1. We're the busiest N64 forum that I know of. And one of the longest running N64-specific forums.

2. There's quite a few good Japan-only N64 games. I'd recommend Bangaioh and the Japanese Bomberman 64 (2D version). But there's plenty more depending on your tastes. What kinds of game do you like?

3. Gameshark's seem to have a terrible reputation for reliability but they have more codes than the Action Replay does. But it really depends which region you live in because Action Replay was made specifically for PAL (UK, European and Australian) N64 games and Gameshark was made for NTSC (US and Japanese) games. There's a third option: the Blaze Exploder/Explorer was released in PAL and NTSC territories and it seems to be much more reliable than the Gameshark. But it can be difficult to find codes for it, other than those which are preloaded to the device.

Hooray Newbies!

1. It goes through phases. Sometimes it's hoppin', sometimes, not so much. Things are kind of slow right now but they'll probably pick up soon, when summer rolls around.

2. Never played any, though I've always wanted Tetris 64.

3. Both are evil.

I'm particularly interested in any good JPN only games that don't require much knowledge of knowing how to read Japanese to get through the game easily.

Also, is there a guide on these forums that lists some good JPN-only games to get?
