ROAD RASH 64![]() Big Game: 8.6/10 Better known as story mode. The whole point to story mode is to place top 3 in each track in a level to advance and to make cash, buy better bikes, and move onto more difficult levels and tracks. It is more of a race than slugfest, but if you get knocked off to many times you will have to retire, so fend off any unwanted bikers. Story mode is very fun also, it may be a little short (I beat it in about 2 weeks or so) but some courses are very challenging. (Although some get repetitive). You also have options to join bike gangs and change your character. ![]() Graphics: 7/10 The graphics in this game were not horrendous, they were actually pretty decent, the biggest thing I have a problem with is the excessive fogging in this game. Especially when you are trying to focus on knocking your opponent off his bike and avoiding traffic at the same, it does not help to see the car 3 seconds before it hits you. The graphics suit this game well though, and that is the only thing I had a problem with. ![]() Sound: 7.8/10 The soundtrack to this was pretty good, it also suited the game, and the noises people made when getting hit were hilarious. The music does tend to get repetitive after a while, but you do have the option to turn it down. Multiplayer: 9/10 Multiplayer in this game is a blast, high speed action. Especially when you start to unlock some of the better bikes you can use on multiplayer mode with your friends. It is great. You also have an option to do like a mini race match on like a dirtbike type racetrack, which is not nearly as fun as thrash, but still a good addition. ![]() Controls: 7.8/10 I actually liked the controls in this game it takes a while to master them, and using your brake and taking your finger off the gas button (Z) helps a lot when going around tight corners or tricky maneuvers. Z is for gas, You use the C buttons to do different attacks, A button to wheelie, and B to Brake. All the buttons are easy access, ad flow nicely. Then I think L does a taunt with some weapons. You can ramp off of cars or even opponents if you get lucky, the only reason I am giving it an 7.8 is because some people might not like the stiffness. I like the challenge though. Gameplay: 9/10 Very fun, you can get all kinds of weapons from nun chucks to stun guns. Once you have finished playing story mode, multiplayer never gets old. This game aged very well. I remember it being fun years ago and still has the same fun factor. The falls are hilarious! Overall 8.8/10 Although this game does have it's minor flaws. I would definitely recommend this. If you haven't ever played it give it a shot, and you might be surprised. Awesome Game! ![]() Edited by Yoshi64, Jul 15 2009, 06:22 AM.
