Hi there! I'm a big fan of the Nintendo 64 (obviously), it's by far my most favourite console and it's been with me for years. As my user name may suggest, I'm also a fan of the Commodore Amiga home computers. ![]() Anyway, I hope I'll have a good time here.

Hooray Newbies! I think I had an Amiga when I was really little, but I'm not sure. I know we had one of those early machines which used the real floppy discs, and there was a simple MS Paint-like program which came on four floppy discs which all needed to be inserted one after another in a certain order every time the program was to be used. Never take a large hard drive for granted, eh? |

Well, I literally grew up with Amigas. My father had an Amiga 500 and an Amiga 1200 and I loved playing games like James Pond II or Lotus Turbo Challenge II when I was little. I still have 2 Amiga 500, 1 Amiga 1200 and 2 Amiga CD32 (one doesn't work properly anymore). Most Amigas (except for the CDTV and the CD32) were floppy disk based. Unless you upgraded some of them with a CD-ROM drive. Or a hard drive, but most people couldn't afford that. I'm glad later Amigas (like the 1200) got a built-in hard drive. ![]() MS Paint-like program? I think you're talking about Deluxe Paint by Electronic Arts. It actually offers more than MS Paint, as far as I know. It's also good for doing nice animations. I still have Deluxe Paint III. Edited by Amiganer, Aug 21 2009, 02:48 AM.

I don't think the paint program was anything that fancy. I'm pretty sure it was in black and white. |

I don't think y family ever had an Amiga but we had the Commodore VIC 20 and Commodore 64. They're some of my earlier gaming memories.

A black and white painting programme, on the Amiga? Never seen one.
