I have a Millennium 2000 controller that I would be willing to part with. Make me an offer if you are interested. szymanski.jared(at)gmail.com. I will upload a picture when I get a chance. Paypal only.

Here are the pictures. The controller was hardly used and is in very good condition. I just tested it out and it still works great. There is a tiny scratch on the middle 'handle' see 2nd picture.

Looks nice. If it weren't for that scratch I may have been tempted to buy myself a second Millennium 2000 controller! :) Are you selling this through eBay?

I didn't want to give the wrong impression by not noting the scratch. Not selling it though e-bay yet. Do you think that would be a better idea? I've never sold anything on e-bay before, so I didn't know if people would buy something from somebody with no seller feedback. I do trade a lot of records online, so I do have 'references'. I would also provide you with my phone number and tracking information.

If I were you I'd probably try to build up some eBay feedback before trying to sell something that could be valuable. People won't bid as much if the seller has very little feedback or if the feedback is poor.

My neighbor man is an e-bay fanatic. I'll see if he'll put it up for me. He buys & sells stuff all of the time.

I would say eBay is your best bet.
You don't need to have feedback as a seller in order to have a successful auction. Everyone has to start somewhere. What does your eBay account look like as it is now? If you have at least 20 feedback comments and a 100% positive rating then you should be fine. All people want to know about you is if you are responsible, so if you have buyer feedback which says things like "fast payment" then people know you're good to do business with.

Also, doing an auction-style for a rare item like this can be risky. This isn't exactly something which is sought-after, as very few people have even heard of it. You might not get very many interested buyers and end up having to settle for a relatively low bid. What I would do is, take advantage of the situation. First, post a link to this article about its rarity:

http://www.gamesniped.com/2008/08/25/brand-new-millenium-2000-nintendo-64-controller/

Now, unless you have the original packaging then you won't be able to sell it for the amount that auction went for (which was $400 I believe?), but if you did a Buy-It-Now for $200 or so you might be able to get away with it. If nobody buys it, all you'll have to pay is the insertion fee which, so long as you don't create a fancy listing, will be 15 cents. You don't have much to lose really.

There was a guy selling one of these in July 2009 on Ebay and I am not sure he posted the name correctly. There were bids on it for $86 USD and he said "Reserve not met" meaning he wanted alot more on it.

If you are wise with your name choice etc. and get alot of hits it can do very well in an auction. I would suggest the "Buy it now" feature as well to ensure you would get what you would like for the controller. There isnt a single one on sale on ebay right now. Best of luck!
