I'm watching some youtube vids and deciding on game purchases. If you've played any of these 4 games, please tell me what you thought of them. If you have played more than one, please give a comparison and state your favorite of the bunch.

So far, this is what I'm thinking:
Battletanx: Global Assault - sounds like an easy game, but pleasing. The gameplay appears to be very fun, and I am leaning towards purchasing this one.

Forsaken - it looks nice, but I have several FPS's for the PC which I could play instead. Goldeneye & Perfect Dark were great to me, but didn't blow me away (maybe too overhyped). I'm not planning to purchase this.

Battlezone - didn't have much on youtube. What I did see and read about gave me the impression that I could pass on this game.

Vigilante 8 - I just started looking at this one. From what I can see, it's very close to the Battletanx gameplay (just replace tanks with cars), but Vigilante appears to have better graphics, and possibly better gameplay. Gamefaqs.com scores favor Battletanx just slightly (8/10 for battletanx, while vigilante is around 7.8/10)

I appreciate your input.

The only game I have out of those is Forsaken 64. If you have ever played a game called Desent on a PC then you have an idea how it plays. Only this looks better. I like it a lot, but it makes me feel sort-of closed in, claustrophobic kind of feeling when you are flying around in all of those tunnels. The game itself usually can be had for a few dollars. The gameplay is very intuitive. If you like a good flight shooting kind of game, it is fun.

Yeah I know you have no plans of purchase, but if you spot it for a few dollars, it is well worth it IMHO.

I have played all of these games as I own all of them.

Hmm...

Battletanx: Global Assault - a nice game if you feel like destroying something :P It's a good and fun game, better than the original one. The only problem may be the lack of strifing (I'd love to see how the tanks strife :w00t: ). Other than that it's a game worth having. Go fo it.

Forsaken - also a good one but can get frustrating at times. I guess I just wish it was a rail shooter and not free-all-around one...I'd get it after getting Vigilante and Battletanx: GA.

Battlezone - to me this game is average at best. Couldn't get into it and the overall presentation and gameplay itself certainly didn't help...I'd skip that one.

Vigilante 8 - a truly great game! For me it's the best out of those four games here. I used to play it with the steering wheel - it's a blast! Worth having, without doubt.

The only one I own is battle tanx: global assault. I had a lot of fun with that game. The single player was fun and the game has a lot of multiplayer modes.

I remember renting Vigilante 8 ages ago and enjoying it. From what I remember, it was like a twisted metal clone.
