So just about everyone on this Nintendo 64 Forever forum has seen or ready something by Alxbly. His images are widely referenced around the internet on different messageboards and forums (2nd only to finngamer). However, upon clicking on a lot of thumbnails and archives of his photos which were some of the earliest and best quality pictures documenting the Nintendo 64 hardware - we are taken to his Photobucket account where we get a familiar message: "This image or video has been moved or deleted." We haven't seen Alxbly on this board in quite some months now. I'd personally like to see him make a reappearing and re-host all of his pictures/images. Nevertheless, his disappearance has motivated me to create a webpage (or at least a blog) to fill the void of Nintendo 64 hardware (well, specifically controllers) gallery pictures and reproduce a lot of the information that he has provided in the past. This will be coming in the next couple of months.  According to floorcat, Alxbly is still alive... but I'll believe it when I see him post something. I think he fell off the face of the planet. In which case, I call dibs on all his controllers.  Where are you Alxbly??? *** Related Side-Story About an eBay Faker *** I'd like to hear from Alxbly especially since he didn't relply to a direct message of mine that I sent him a month ago when someone on eBay stole one of his pictures (it said Alxbly on the corner) of the Nintendo Power 100 controller, and told everyone that it was his own picture of the controller he was selling. He ended up ending the 1st auction early (already had quite a few bids) after I threatened to file a case with eBay against him for lying/faking a product. He later relisted the item with his own pictures of the controller, which was just a plain gold controller that was WITHOUT the Nintendo Power 100 sticker. - If the guy was honest, he had no idea that there is a very big difference between the values of a regular gold controller and a NP100 gold controller - If the guy was dishonest, he simply stole Alxbly's image from Google without even bothering to hide Alxbly's name from the corner of the image Either way the guy stole the image from Alxbly (when I asked him why it said Alxbly on the corner of the picture, he said "oh my camera software did that by itself" - what total Bullsh*t)  I immediately sent Alxbly a private message in this forum to ask him to help, and he never replied.

No worries... as long as there's some core group of us, this place will always be around.  Even the best of us go in and out of phases of not visiting the forum... I'd be lying if I said this doesn't describe myself. In fact, I was probably one of the first to always "drop out"...

LOL, guys... there are other places to get N64 info! Alxbly will (hopefully someday) organize his pics/vids and re-upload them somewhere. He just doesn't have the time these days, that's all.

They'll all be up eventually. My intention was to rebrand most of them, but that's gonna take a long time. I want to ditch the alxbly watermark and use a Nintendo 64 Forever watermark instead, that way I can give the forum some free advertising.

I know some of you guys might have noticed this but Alxbly's famous photo albums (and all the links in the review topics and such that point to those pictures) have all been taken down, most likely by himself. I'm hoping it's only temporary, but it's been quite some time I'm kind of hoping we can get a sort of "petition" started so that Alxbly would be able to offer up his "historic" and "archives" of classic images that our whole community has grown to love. I know that I took them for granted for some time - and wished that they were still up for our viewing pleasure. **all hail Alxbly... the community misses your pictures and your presence** |

I am sure both he and his photos will return again. I am sure he is just busy and probably a little burned out. I would love for him and floorcat to both be frequent posters again. For that matter, I wish I had time to be a frequent poster again. |

Maybe someone who knows him a little more personally could ask for a copy of the photos (a custodian, if you will) then they could be added to a wiki. There is a Nintendo 64 wiki already but it's pretty barren. It really could do with some fleshing out. OR we could start our own? |
