Hey, even without Ascii contact and without a lot of their box info, we are still making good progress. :n64:

Hey, no love for me bluedogrulez? I mean, I did START this thread after-all and was one of the first to chase after all these ASCII pad variations ;)

But absolutely, credit where credit is due... Cabanon discovered/obtained one of the first metallic blue pads, another (banned member) discovered/obtained one of the first metallic teal pads, and there might still be other colors out there including this latest development of this black-ish-blue-ish color. I'm personally still on the hunt for a boxed version of all variations, and remember my table listing the ASCII part numbers with their barcodes. Review the table I have included in this post: http://s9.zetaboards.com/Nintendo_64_Forever/single/?p=10002495&t=7246645

Just to ask the ASCii authority; on the famous auction site, there is now a boxed silver ASCii controller, and the sticker on the box is gold colored.. Isn't that supposed to be silver, like the controller? Or is the controller just put in a box thats been the home of a gold controller in the past?

The box should have a silver sticker. It's not the first time that used Ascii controllers are put in to the wrong boxes.
It's a bit of a problem.

As No64DD stated, the box is probably the wrong one to pair together with the silver ASCII. The barcode for the proper box to match up to the silver controller is: T4988606101689 (and it should have the proper serial number right above the barcode: ASC-0901SP).

The seller had both a boxed gold and silver forsale and the boxes were mixed with the wrong pads, I've bought both to sort this problem out 😁

looks like you're listing them wrong again tho. that Gold boxed one you're selling has the Silver box according to the Bar Code on the back.

According to the barcodes you were right cabanon, but to the colour stickers on the front the pads were in the correct boxes, strange really.

I remember seeing that controller from an auction in Germany. I could tell by the wear around the start button.

It's a Metallic Blue. Not sure what number count it should be at compared to Solojones. His are probably at #37.

Wait, what is the confusion here? That controller in his picture (as many of you have already concluded) was purchased from EBay and we've seen those listings for quite some time. How is this color any different from any of the existing metallic blue versions that we've already seen in the past? Both myself and Cabanon already have this version of ASCII controller...

i think you're confusing it. it is indeed not the same colour. it is a much brighter blue than the darker greenish/blueish blue that we both have. we'll have to rethink our colour name lol

EDIT: Unless we're all confused. Im waiting for a picture and video with closeup of all his controllers.

EDIT 2: I just saw your picture on the last page and it is indeed the same one as he picture on the bottom but you can also see the top left is not the same the bottom one.

mystery

Solo is claiming this to the 17th colour variant, and 4th that he has personally discovered.
It's been mentioned above that this pad has been listed on eBay in Germany for quite some time, at what I would call a ridiculous price.

I've been chasing these pads for a little while now, and only been buying cib, these are insanely hard to find boxed.
