Hey, even without Ascii contact and without a lot of their box info, we are still making good progress. :n64:

This thread has been a labor of love for Cabanon and a significant resource for ASCII collectors. Let's stay on topic.

Hey, no love for me bluedogrulez? I mean, I did START this thread after-all and was one of the first to chase after all these ASCII pad variations ;)

But absolutely, credit where credit is due... Cabanon discovered/obtained one of the first metallic blue pads, another (banned member) discovered/obtained one of the first metallic teal pads, and there might still be other colors out there including this latest development of this black-ish-blue-ish color. I'm personally still on the hunt for a boxed version of all variations, and remember my table listing the ASCII part numbers with their barcodes. Review the table I have included in this post: http://s9.zetaboards.com/Nintendo_64_Forever/single/?p=10002495&t=7246645

Just to ask the ASCii authority; on the famous auction site, there is now a boxed silver ASCii controller, and the sticker on the box is gold colored.. Isn't that supposed to be silver, like the controller? Or is the controller just put in a box thats been the home of a gold controller in the past?

The box should have a silver sticker. It's not the first time that used Ascii controllers are put in to the wrong boxes.
It's a bit of a problem.

As No64DD stated, the box is probably the wrong one to pair together with the silver ASCII. The barcode for the proper box to match up to the silver controller is: T4988606101689 (and it should have the proper serial number right above the barcode: ASC-0901SP).

The seller had both a boxed gold and silver forsale and the boxes were mixed with the wrong pads, I've bought both to sort this problem out 😁

looks like you're listing them wrong again tho. that Gold boxed one you're selling has the Silver box according to the Bar Code on the back.

According to the barcodes you were right cabanon, but to the colour stickers on the front the pads were in the correct boxes, strange really.
