@ddr2nite: before torturing yourself over whether to buy this on the off-chance a variant exists, please consider the possibility that someone switched out the original shell or the board to create a Mauve/Red plug combo. I know you are probably three steps ahead of me here, but as White Goodman might say, now you know I know what you know.

What great happenstance!! That color is unique and amazing. The fact that we have two of these metallic teal's reported with different plug (plus the apparent rarity) makes me wonder if this was the final run of the ASCII pad . . . just throw whatever's left in there (as we have seen on Big N licensed N64 consoles)....
