I thought it might be fun for all of us to talk about places we have always wanted to visit, and also places the would like to live.
Be sure to include why you like the area, if you want to anyways. I will get us started.

Places I want to visit:
China - The culture fascinates me, mostly because of my kung fu background.
Egypt - The Pyramids of Egypt are amazing. I can't imagine standing in front of them.
Jerusalem - Such a beautiful place with amazing history. I would love to stand where biblical events happened.
The Congo jungle - I know it would be so dangerous, but I have always wanted to visit the deepest regions of this jungle.
Machu Picchu - One of the most beautiful places on earth.
Edinburgh Castle - So amazing, I would love to visit ANY castle for that matter.
Pennsylvania - There are so many amazing haunted locations I want to visit here.

Places I would want to live:
Alaska - Such a beautiful place, and so remote. I love privacy :D
The Olympic Rain Forrest - Also so beautiful and remote. Not quite as remote as Alaska, but not quite as cold either :P
Myrtle Beach - Been there 2 times, and really love the place. I think I belong near the coast :D
Phoenix Arizona - My dad has a vacation home there, right below John Travolta & Bruce Springstein. I love the look and feel of the area. The air feels so dry and clean. Sure is hot though.
Oklahoma - This is where all of my family is. Those of you near your families never take that for granted...

So what about you all?

i'd really like to visit Japan

Why? that should be obvious
Why not? the long flight puts me off

I really can't emigrate now but if i could i'd like to live in a remote part of Indonesia or New Zealand.

I have no intentions of moving outside of the US, and to be honest, im pretty content in Massachusetts. The only thoughts i have of moving would be up North. Im all for winter and i LOVE to snowboard. Me and my friends talk about moving up there after college every winter.

travel requires large amounts of money. Even in the first world not everyone has a good pension or retirement fund. Most people dont.

I guess Japan is on everyones list. It would be an amazing experience to go game shopping there. Other than that i would really like to go to everywhere in Europe (i've lived in Ireland for 6 months and i loved it), China, Australia, New Zealand and lots more.

I'd like to live everywhere! Be a rich traveller and not stay in one place for too long :D

Outside of the US I've always said I'd love to visit Australia (for the beautiful countryside), Italy (for the food) and Japan (for the games!).

In the US I think I'd like to visit the parts of Florida I haven't been to, which is anything east and south of the panhandle. And I'd love to go back to Seattle and the northwest in general, like Portland, Oregon.

EDIT: I didn't even notice the 'Places to live' part of this one. I think, at this moment in my life, the only place I'd live other than where I am right now, is back in Montana where I moved from in 1999. There are a lot of things about that place that I miss. Not the weather, though. I don't know if there is anywhere in the world with consistent, 365 day a year weather that I'd be happy with.

There are so many places that I would like to visit. If I could afford it I would go everywhere just so I could experience everything that the world has to offer. A big one on my list would be the US. Mostly to check out live sport. Also even though our countries are very similar it seems like the culture is very different from state to state, would I would like to experience. The food would also be something that also interests me. Supersize me up baby. :D

As far as living goes, I would like to live overseas for a couple of years at some point working and having a look around. But unfortunately I have a wife who doesn't really want to leave Toowoomba. I've managed to get her on holidays to Fiji and Thailand since we've been married but convincing her to live in another country for a few years might take all of my negotiating powers to win her over on that one.

To live, possibly america.

To visit, I'd love to explore America more, I've only been to Indiana and Florida.

I'd love to go on a tour of Japan dedicated to going to Arcades though
