What are your top 5 favorite bands? Just bands, not rappers and other solo artists (save that for another top 5 :D) 1) Blink 182!!!!! 2) Angels and Airwaves 3) 311 4) The Used 5) Atreyu Ive actually had the opportunity to see each of these bands in concert. Some of them multiple times like blink 182 and AVA. Even moreso, ive met Angels and Airwaves several times, and atreyu once. Gotta love Warped Tour ![]() -Corey |

Stinger- I was raised on Tom Petty haha. You know how when your young you pretty much listen to what your parents listen too? well my mom wants to marry tom petty so needless to say i listened to him. Its pretty funny cause i was like 7 showing all my neighbors this Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers DVD set and they are all like "dude they are horrible". Pretty ironic how they all seem to love him now ![]() Shangyou- This is a Top 5, not "do you have favorite bands" -Corey |

1. Red Hot Chilli Peppers 2. Blink 182 3. Nine Inch Nails 4. The Jimi Hendrix Experience 5. Wolfmother Blink 182 I've had the most time with. I remember I borrowed Take Off Your Pants and Jacket from a friend and was hooked from there. The rest took a while longer for me to hear. Blink 182 stayed at 1 for a long time and isn't far from it either. I also listen to country about as much as rock but not so few bands in particular. |

really showing my age here !ive been a fan since 1980. Even got an XTC tattoo back in 1983 when tattoos weren't fashionable yet ![]() Made several pilgrimages to their hometown Swindon. later on i actually met & befriended their lead guitarist. those where the days ! I've still got a sizeable collection of their work, lots of memorabilia and some unique personal stuff. Edited by Mk II, Feb 2 2011, 02:09 PM.

When it comes to being devoted to a band like you guys are talking about, i think angels and airwaves would be my number 1. Ive met them several times and i have quite a bit of signed items. Everytime they come to my area, i see them, and i make it a must to be right up front! -Corey |

1. Bloc Party 2. Los Campesinos! 3. Johnny Foreigner 4. Frank Turner 5. Modest Mouse/Bright Eyes/Arcade Fire This is all quite indie/alternative rock (although Frank Turner is quite folky), so if you have no interest in that kind of music, you should probably stop reading :p. I like pretty obscure music (apparently). Bloc Party are quite big though so it's possible you've heard of them! The last three are all American too so you're more likely to know them. Los Campesinos! are relatively small but they do have a song on a Budweiser advert; You! Me! Dancing! The advert: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fddbcAIyxM The full song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nj6SO_yKMe8 That's not their best song (in my opinion) by a long way so don't judge them just on that! Give this one a go if you think you might like them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhTKKtdxKOY I've absolutely loved Bloc Party for a long time and I'll always feel very nostalgic towards them as they were the first band that I could listen to again and again throughout my childhood and still today! This is the first song I heard by them and it blew me away: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2R6S5CJWlco with the incredible guitar. However, Bloc Party certainly aren't just about the guitars and songs such as this are just incredible: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9pf3omyGzw (for some reason the video says Uniform but it's Sunday [although Uniform is amazing too!]) and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHWrX7X8v9Q In fact, my username is taken from the title of Bloc Party's first album, Silent Alarm. Johnny Foreigner are a really small, pretty obscure band but I've met them a few times and they're lovely people who are really passionate about their music. This is one of my favourites by them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9d8wqrI66Lo On to Frank Turner. He's a great guy too who sings about what he believes. He's an incredible live performer, everyone sings along and has a great time, so I'm going to post a live video for you to watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0sYJSibVZ8 Modest Mouse and Arcade Fire probably don't need an introduction so I'll just stick a video from each up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTAud5O7Qqk and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_aFmziaRdU Lastly, Bright Eyes. I've only started listening to Bright Eyes a few months ago but I just can't stop listening to them. They announced a UK tour recently and I'm seeing them twice in the space of two days, I really, really can't wait. All of their albums have a really different feel to them so I'll post my favourite song from each of my three favourite albums by them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NSMAmiMOBM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GHyLhbdzN0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7C-u7tnRC7w |
