The Wii has started selling at just $170 for the bundle with both Wii Sports titles and the updated Wii-mote. I saw the same price at both Walmart and Best Buy. There was talk that the price would drop to $150 but I guess that won't happen until after E3 if at all. Here in the US Wii sales had really slowed thanks to the drastic price drops on HDTVs and the fact that very few Wii games are being released. The weak on-line support hasn't helped either. |

My local Walmart has already dropped the price of the Wii to $150. This seems to be a good strategy as they were all sold out. So now we just gotta wait for the new bundle that'll come with Mario Kart. As I understand it you'll be able to get this bundle in black which will even include a black Wii-wheel. I wonder if the wheel has been redesigned to accommodate the Wii Motion Plus controller?

After a little research I have discovered that the Wii Remote Plus is the same size as the original Wii-mote so there's no reason for Nintendo to alter the Wii-wheel that'll ship with the Mario Kart Wii bundle. Sorry for not investigating that before posting my previous comment.

I have Dead Rising: CTYD and my advice is don't bother getting it if you've already played the 360 version. |

me, me, me! Totally different kettle of fish compared to the DS version. Much better level design to start with! The DS version is more-or-less a port of the original with some added gimmicks and a graphics update. NSMBW is a total rethink of the original concept and gameplay mechanics and you can sense that Miyamoto was closely involved. It oozes quality and has that typical Nintendo-sense of humour with surprising twists etc. Brilliant learning curve too BTW, another testament to the solid level design and extensive playtesting. |

It's a great Mario game, it can almost compete with SMB3 and SMW. If you play it though, get some friends or family to play it. That makes it more fun, and a bit more challenging since you have to deal with people stealing power-ups or killing you! |

My local Wal-Mart now has the new Mario Kart Wii bundle in both black and white for the incredibly low price of just $150 and I also saw all four of the Selects titles in the case too. Sadly Mario Galaxy 1 and NSMBW aren't being sold at $19.99 yet.

The Wii Wheel (and my super cheap black knockoffs) fits the Wii Motion Plus Inside controller, which is the controller that comes in box now. Same length as original controller. ICON makes a wheel for Wii that is apparently compatible with the older (longer) Motion Plus controllers. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Icon-Racing-Wheel-Plus-Wii/15183309 |

Hey, did anyone else see that Chrono Trigger was released this week on the Wii virtual console? I'm not one for RPGs, but it is hailed as one of the best SNES games and a used copy is more pricey than Conker's. Maybe the VC isn't quite dead yet . . . . |

Yeah and Megaman X came out on Virtual Console last month. I never use my Wii for VC as I own a good amount of SNES games. I also have Chrono-Trigger for the DS. |

No the Wii isn't dead by a long shot. Once titles like Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy 1 and Goldeneye drop in to the $19.99 Selects series look for the system to have a strong rebirth. The Virtual Console is simply icing on the cake. Oh, I've got Muramasa the Demon Blade for the Wii and it's really a great game! Very old-school in certain ways and really nice looking. |

My local Gamestop has now dropped the price of the Wii to just $139.99! At this rate I suspect the Wii may be as low as $99 by Christmas. If Nintendo doesn't announce any compelling titles for the system at E3 next week then they might as well drop the price to $99 now as most people are already considering the console obsolete. |

huh? With Xenoblade, Skyward Sword, The Last Story and perhaps Pandora's Box yet to be released i think there is some life left in the platform. The new price levels and Mario Kart bundle will certainly pull in more first-time buyers. Nintendo knows how to play the upgrade game, they've done it before. |

Those titles are likely to appeal to people who already own a Wii but I doubt they'll help push new consoles out the door. |

I'm quite tempted to get a black Wii, I'm tempted just because my current white Wii is modded for Rock Band custom songs (don't really need this now since I just play customs on my Xbox) and Orcarina, But I wouldn't mind one just to have set up for the family, where they can change stuff aswell without me having to worrying about messing anything up lol |

I wouldn't mind having a black Wii with Motion Plus and Wii Sports Resort to hook up to my standard definition TV. The Wii's never looked all that great on my Hi-Def set but I need to keep it connected that way for the times I play Brawl with friends. |

ive got three Wii's... in white, shiny black and gourgeous red. If they release any more colours (Zelda green!) i will buy them as well, Mr. Iwata. I only use the white one. It's an early model and has been soft-modded to enable the use of homebrew programs. |

Have you upgraded to 4.2? It's been a year and I still haven't done that. So I'm mostly afraid that someone will download an update by going to any of the official Nintendo channels that require you to go online (which will prompt for an update). In your case, you could easily take out your MicroSTD card and put it in something. I keep mine in my DS since I also rock the R4. Though I haven't patched that thing since 2008 when I moved to SC. I totally would, but there's a total lack of support online. Nobody bothers with it anymore. What really sucks is that the built-in Action Replay is missing all of a sudden. Must've been when I was trying to patch it myself back when Grand Theft Auto came out. Either way, they need to make a DS emulator for the Wii, then give it some Ocarina capabilities. |

if you upgrade to the latest HBC, you can safely install official Nintendo updates. I've got bootmii installed "as boot1" so im pretty brick-safe anyway. this cant be done to later revisions alas |
