I am not familiar enough with these controllers, because i never thought i'd have to be! X_D

"3rd party" controllers get bad reviews- and for good reasons...

Something tells me that this controller, in general, is also not as rare as it seems. But i just don't know.

Does anyone know why some controllers have these "Transformers" on the cord and others don't?

Wow!!

I had NO idea that the PAL N64 controllers' "Kludge" had a Nintendo logo on them...

I always thought it would be made by some other company.
Is there also a logo on the plug??

@MrKoippa,
Until you turned the controller over, it did look like a Jusco at first glance.

Which brings me to Vinyl

Correct me if i'm wrong, but i think you got something here!!
I haven't looked to see how much it's been discussed, but the "Made In CHINA/JPN" comparrison does tell a certain story, especially with the Black/Grey combination.

It's as if Nintendo used these controllers as a "template"...

And i'm willing to bet that the other controllers that belong to this family- GEOFFREY, non MK64 Black/Grey, Product Testing) are also MADE IN JAPAN.

I just checked my e3 controller, and it's MADE IN JAPAN.

I'm not sure why this is... but it means that it's another %100 verification to the authenticity of not only an e3, but EVERY BLACK/GREY CONTROLLER!

Not only is it a good idea to get these controllers from Japan, they are also MADE IN JAPAN. If you are concerned about authenticity, it will say MADE IN JAPAN on the underside of the controller.
Most N64 controllers are MADE IN CHINA, these controllers are not.

Yes.
You should spend the remainder on a blacklight to illuminate the phosphorescence of the controller. ;)
