Anyone seen this yet? I've watched it twice and I'm planning on watching it again! :)
I loved every single second of the movie.
Natalie Portman + Amazing CGI + Awesome Characters(especially Loki) + Great Acting + Fantastic Soundtrack + Epic Story = Thor

Without giving away too much spoilers, there is a scene near the end of the movie when Thor gets his hammer and it's one of the most epic scenes in movie history in my book. That scene is up there in the ranks along with a few other scenes like that epic scene in Iron Man 1 where Tony Stark escapes from the terrorist camp with the Mark I armor.

It's the best superhero movie since the first Iron Man and it's a movie that people of all ages will love! :yeah:

Well now that someone has recommended this movie I'll definitely go see it tomorrow! There are a lot of movies coming out recently! Last week I saw Fast Five, which was awesome, tomorrow I'll see Thor, and then on the 26th I'm gonna go see the Hangover 2!

I just saw it tonight. It was a pretty good movie - but as someone who is a fan of most movies that are based on comic book superheroes, this one was probably just middle of the pack for me. Story was decent, but it just didn't have as much drama to it. The plot was easy to figure out, and the ending was pretty disappointing. I can't believe Shangyou is planning on seeing it for a 3rd time... I don't think I'd watch it again unless it was playing for free on cable TV. I definitely wouldn't be paying MORE money to see it a 2nd time.

Again, just my opinion - but I went and saw it based on Shangyou's review - maybe I shouldn't listen to him as much in the future

And that scene he described of Thor getting his hammer... no, that was NOT all that epic. C'mon man

...I am speechless. All my classmates loved it!
Well, I'm a film student so maybe I just have a peculiar taste in movies. I loved Tron: Legacy too which quite a number of people seemed to dislike.
I have no idea why you didn't find that scene where Thor gets his hammer epic at all. The one hour long build-up to that scene was brilliant and made that scene soooo satisfying.
The Hawkeye cameo in the film was great too. It was very subtle yet appealing to those who read the comic books.
Also, Loki's character was portrayed so well by Tom Hiddleston. I was surprised at how much emotion I felt from seeing his performance considering that I went into the cinema with low expectations for the acting component of the film.
And oh yeah, I forgot to mention: STAY TILL AFTER THE CREDITS! Without giving away too much spoilers, there's an Avengers scene that features my favourite character in Thor. :applause:

I guess we can agree to not listen to one another's opinions when it comes to film-related advice in the future!

That happens with every single Marvel movie!
